No different than Englisman or Frenchman. It got labeled that way by social science wacko's in the 70's because we had just spent 30 years fighting over there, and people had harsher views of Asians. Nobody, especially colleges, gives a damn one way or the other about Asians now.

Yup I still can't figure out why the kolache ******s are so sensitive. It's a well known fact that jalapeo sausage cheese kolaches made by the old Asian lady at the doughnut shop are by far the best kolaches there are.

Sorry, to be clear I wasn't arguing that it was a racist term. I was more arguing that "all they know is that they feel they should be offended, definitions be damned" and then the dictionary labels the word as "often offensive".

At the very least we can admit that the word is offensive to an not-insignificant amount of people.

Now whether you care if they are offended or not is another matter.
