Get out of here with that bull***** The only decent team A&M beat all season was missing its starting quarterback and best receiver. Playing a tough schedule doesn't make you a good team. Beating good teams does. And A&M got beat 50-7 by the last good team they played.

A&M was a thoroughly average team in the Big 12 and remains so in the SEC. They just get to claim their conference mates' wins now apparently.

That fan base (aside from a few level headed folks) is insane.

Iknorite?? Beebe guaranteed based on commitments by the other seven remaining schools to the $20 million per annum to Texas, OU, and A&M to keep the conference together in 2010. The conference welched on that with Texas and OU both saying they wouldn't demand that payout and the other schools leaked that they were appalled we asked to be paid it.

Then the LHN happening with its publicly disclosed contract terms pretty much blew up in their faces...and within a year or two they were all taking down $20 million each...

It would seem that we are their measuring stick.

Bob Bullock was a Texas Tech alum, Gov. Ann Richards was a Baylor Alum and several powerful Congressmen were too. Bullock had a lot of power back then. The politicians had a closed door meeting with college officials and at the end of that meeting - A&M, Sips, Baylor and Texas Tech were headed to the Big 12. The remainder of the SWC didn't have the political stroke in Austin to be included too.
