Thinking that moving from the big12 to the sec would make your schedule easier would be like anyone thinking that going from the SWC to the big12 was going to be easier

They still might get the death penalty. A lot of people have forgotten that the NCAA investigation into them is still ongoing.

Some at Baylor have tried to complain that the NCAA is trying to make an example out of them after the NCAA couldn't get much to stick to PSU due to the jurisdiction of only being able to enforce NCAA rule violations vs criminal charges.

I'd say though that allowing a rape culture in your athletic department is definitely holding student athletes to a different standard than regular students and exhibits a way greater lack of institutional control and ethics than SMU paying players.

Screw Baylor. The Briles and rape fiasco, the murder of Patrick Dennehy that was an attempted cover up, both men and women's basketball teams, cat-killing baseball players. Their fans suck, their students are churchy hypocrites, and Waco is awful. The fact that Baylor has an athletic department is an indictment to the current state of society. Add in their administration's behavior during the move to the SEC and the whole place can eat a big bag of dicks.

No chance in hell Baylor gets whacked by the NCAA with the death penalty.

I am no fan of A&M. They lost 5 games this year which makes them sound pretty ordinary. But when you look at their schedule, they lost to Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia. That is an absolute gauntlet. I hate to say it, but if they had played our schedule, they are no worse than 11-2 and possibly better. They gave good games to Clemson, Auburn, and Georgia. That being said, I would still love to play them again.
Get out of here with that bull***** The only decent team A&M beat all season was missing its starting quarterback and best receiver. Playing a tough schedule doesn't make you a good team. Beating good teams does. And A&M got beat 50-7 by the last good team they played.

A&M was a thoroughly average team in the Big 12 and remains so in the SEC. They just get to claim their conference mates' wins now apparently.

I like how they focused on Okie Lite not having this player or that player but never mentioned our best player on defense not playing.

At least the 1st page and a half never mentioned it. A 1st rounder

Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas State, and Tech all benefited heavily by the agreement to split Tier I & II evenly in the BDF. Our leaving led to that to mollify the other members over the LHN.

All four schools arguably invested those proceeds well and are more competitive against OU and Texas than they were previously. I'll stop right there because comparisons with other conferences dnt show quite the same progress and OU still is that much better...
And to think all A&M wanted to stay in the Big XII in 2010 was a measly 20 million. LOL.

Iknorite?? Beebe guaranteed based on commitments by the other seven remaining schools to the $20 million per annum to Texas, OU, and A&M to keep the conference together in 2010. The conference welched on that with Texas and OU both saying they wouldn't demand that payout and the other schools leaked that they were appalled we asked to be paid it.

Then the LHN happening with its publicly disclosed contract terms pretty much blew up in their faces...and within a year or two they were all taking down $20 million each...

Right. OSU was out that receiver for the last several games of the season and they are short handed. All the others that were rumored out ended up playing.

Our best defensive player? Nope. Was it mentioned? Nope. We still dominated them up front after spotting them 14 points. They didn't score again until 1:04 left in the game, while our underwhelming offense scored 24 unanswered points.

Then baylol? Wow. There was a time in that game that we and the nation heard "that was a redshirt freshman backup forced to play (due to the starter preparing for the draft) that just pancaked the bdf defensive player of the year".

When A&M, Mizzou and Colorado left the BDF, it lost three of it's better academic institutions. It still has tech and added West Virginia. It is laughable for them to think that the BDF is academically superior.

It wasn't luck that got Baylor into the Big 12, it was the Texas Legislature. When the SWC was blowing up, A&M and Sips were considering going their own ways. Lt Gov. Bob Bullock was a Texas Tech alum, Gov. Ann Richards was a Baylor Alum and several powerful Congressmen were too. Bullock had a lot of power back then. The politicians had a closed door meeting with college officials and at the end of that meeting - A&M, Sips, Baylor and Texas Tech were headed to the Big 12. The remainder of the SWC didn't have the political stroke in Austin to be included too.

Yep. baylor owes its inclusion in the big 12 to the fact that Clayton Williams told an offensive joke.
That is absolutely correct.
