It has been a long time that this game actually mattered when it came to both teams. For OU, it is just a blimp as they march on to another BDF title and for t.u., another loss and a battle to become bowl eligible in a mediocre conference.

I thought the game was usually at 11 because the fanbases couldn't handle their liquor with more of a running start?

And yes, the past decade's 11 AM starts have been a product of TV coupled with Texas and Oklahoma's hubris. As stated before, they will not play a night game in that dump of a neighborhood due to safety concerns. The Big 12 has no National TV slots at 2:30 PM. This leaves 11 AM as the only possible time slot where Texas and Oklahoma can get on "national" TV. Never mind that it's a terrible time slot where most of the West Coast is still in bed. They still have their national time slot. The only exception the past few years has been when Fox has put them on FS1 at 2:30, which led to disastrous ratings for the game....even more disastrous than the crappy ratings they have garnered at 11 AM on ABC.

So here we are....the RRSO sponsored by Tampax at 11 AM on ABC sponsored by ESPN with Pam Ward on the call!

Most pizza places open at 11am. They can make about 50 pizzas by 12:30, just in time for halftime.
