I don't miss playing the horns. I find that, each season, I am more and more ambivalent about the horns. I can still say that a good longhorn loss takes some of the edge off of a painful Aggie loss.
At this point, A&M doesn't need the game. But the rivalry will renew when it is mutually beneficial. The next meeting will likely be in a major bowl. Not in a medium or lower tier bowl. In other words, not in the Herman era. Neither school wants the first game to be at a garbage bowl. A matchup in the BCS, er CFP would be awesome. Maybe someday.

It took me 4.5 years to graduate. That was five Aggie-tu games that I went to, and we won 4 of them. Bonfire and the Thanksgiving game was the best part of the school year. I have a niece who goes to A&M now and she complains that there is no team that really means more than others when they play them. She saw all the talking the Aggies and tu did when she was growing up over that game.
Not saying we need to play tu again. I just want to see a game that meant as much to the fan base now as those games did then. Its not LSU. They don't two sh%ts about us. They HATE Alabama. Maybe its Arkansas. Its just going to take a while.
Best closing line I have seen in a while. It made me chuckle. "Godspeed. And go **** yourselves."
