Well if a&m is so irrelevant to sips why have they been obsessed with us the last few years? I wonder what happened to trigger them.

If A&M is so irrelevant then why does he spend so much of his time and energy concocting incredibly intricate falsehoods about us? Why wouldn't he focus that energy on their true rival? He and other sips are obsessed because they know we are the bigger long term threat to their attempts to manipulate their way into the power role in the region.

They never want to compete on a level playing field, so now he resorts to lies.

The two schools have different back stories. They've got most of the football victories. We've got 8 MOH recipients.

How many Cotton Bowl trips would anyone trade for one Eli L. Whiteley?

One thing idiots like Duke like to gloss over is that A&M was an all-male segregated military school until the 60's.

Because of that, we had a disadvantage recruiting football players, particularly if they weren't interested in being in an ROTC program like the Corps of Cadets. Women were allowed to be students in 1963. African Americans slowly began being admitted in 1963. Participation in the Corps became voluntary in 1965. It took a while to overcome those disadvantages to football recruiting.

So if you start at a point in time where all things eventually became relatively equal, recruiting wise, between A&M and tu, like 1975, you get a much more accurate portrayal of the real rivalry that existed.

A&M and tu played 37 times between 1975 and 2011. A&M has won 19 of those games, and tu has won 18 of them.

That's the rivalry, the one that Randolph Duke tries to ignore and bury.

It was one-sided prior to that for reasons that had more to do with off-field issues, generally.

Truth is they have lost that superior feeling. They know they are the 3rd or 4th most "significant" program in the state and it eats up their insecure minds. Fear is an amazing thing. They know things will never be the way they use to be.

If they really thought they were better than us they would ignore us.
