Even if you ignore everything else and just looked at school sizes, during the height of that dominance he likes to cling to, it was the equivalent of modern A&M playing Sam Houston state.

I mean we have a dominant record over Sam but do we really brag about it when they've never had the size or resources to compete with us?

I wouldn't say tu didn't have an advantage in the rivalry. They certainly did and in many ways still do. The BOMC still exists, as well as biased rankings, and not to mention what they had planned to do with the LHN.

Better to say that the W/L records demonstrates how they no longer get the results on the field they used to despite the remaining advantages. We have been able to compensate with our exodus to the promised land.

When was it that unlimited scholarships were done away with? That would seem to be the natural beginning of any "modern era" of college ball.
