The subtlety, here, is amazing. So underratedBQ_90 said:

Who has ever called DFW a "Baseball Town"? I've been here 20 years and literally never heard a single soul make that claim.sawemoff2010 said:
As a lifelong Astros fan who now lives in DFW, I find it exceptionally entertaining to watch this so-called "Baseball Town" support their team
I still have my season tickets and still am at the games so FUVM.sawemoff2010 said:

Yep. Which oddly coincides with Muy's recent disappearance.AggieWonWon said:

All in on embracing the tank for the Rangers. In another couple years or so maybe the roles will be reversed again and the Rangers will be on top again. Lord knows that no Dallas team will go buy talent.

Hmmm no.
The rangers destroyed their farm system over many years, and are just now attempting to rebuild after running on fumes for quite a while. Whereas the Astros managed to win the world series, return everyone of consequence, and get even more loaded, all while holding on to all of their best farm talent.

Rangers took the series against the Astros
This is the best thing to happen to DallASSt professional sports in a long, long time. Let them enjoy it.redline248 said:
How much did you cry when Fatolo lost his perfect game?
The Rangers are a LONG way away, buddy. That much is obvious to anyone. They took the series from the Astros? Yeah...ok. I'm sure the season will tell the tale of who's better, and I think we can already engrave that answer.PDEMDHC said:titanmaster_race said:TX_Aggie37 said:

Hmm yes.
It's baseball. Anything can happen. Teams ride highs and lows. A couple of years is 2-5 years. Astros will be great for that stretch and then will start to fade like all great teams with too little money to pay all that talent.
