This is just sad watching them get beat like this. I know the prop 48 days are long gone, but they're not even being competitive against good competition, and haven't in a long time.
I live in the middle of them. ConcurRec said:

Good again, someday? Well, 9-3 imo is good, so, yes.
But will they ever be great as in 14-1 or 15-0 ? Not likely. Recruiting is probably 60%-65% of the reason for success at the P4 level.
The corn people would need to strike gold with a Saban or Meyer type of head coach.
out recruits nationally well. They are far from where Nebraska is today.wbt5845 said:
OU nervously looks over their shoulder and knows that could be them if they ever lost their pipeline into Texas. One of the reasons they'll never go to the SEC (besides the fact we wouldn't let them) because they'd just be another Arkansas at that point.
I think Frost gets a better offer and Bielema winds up at Nebraska.technoviking said:
Scott Frost should do well there

they can't get those advantages back
OU will never lose their pipeline into Texas. They are as close to DFW as we are and considerably closer than Arkansas. More importantly sip won't let them lose that pipeline because sip needs that game. OU will always have at least one game in Texas every year. When Arkie left the SWC the conference successfully shut them out of Texas recruiting by not scheduling them but that won't happen if/when tu and OU are no longer in the same league. tu won't let go of that game.wbt5845 said:
