Texas is a top 3 job. You don't leave even a top 10 job for another college job unless maybe you're going home as an alum.A&M wouldn't have hired away someone like Jon Chavis from LSU if we were still in the big 12. Much like how you guys weren't able to pull Aranda away from LSU. Recruiting? Top 15 classes were 'good' in the big 12, but now they're viewed as 'meh' for A&M in the SEC.Quote:
You can post all the delusional **** you want about conference affiliation. But the SEC hasn't made A&M a more desirable job for coaches. Recruiting isn't easier. You already had money. Path to playoffs is harder. One of the dumbest things I've ever read on this forum.Quote:
There is an argument that A&M is now a worse job than it was before the move.
Moving to the SEC has made the A&M job a more desirable and more prestigious one. I know you big 12 goobers are always looking for 'the easiest path', but good coaches don't think that way. Competitive coaches that want to be the best fully embrace competing with the best. Moving forward, A&M is going to be an even more desirable destination for potential coaches than it was the SWC and big 12.
ROLL TIDE ! !
Best wishes to you and yours
