Their conference mate Baylor HAS A LITERAL RAPE CULTURE, and this anal merkin is still obsessed with what the Aggies are doing.

BTW you can't ***** about someone inferring something as fact when you use a nameless "female friend" as a source of fact about A&M.

Dumbass.

The Eagle is reporting (quoting The Texas Tribune) that the Kossuth (Mississippi) Aggies will no longer wear the sip logo after a cease and desist letter from the sips. Apparently the sips are quoted as saying they "have to protect their trademark".

I guess randy will say they learned that from us.

No mention of Cedar Hill. I guess they are waiting to gather enough evidence to imprison the school board and principal - or at least ruin their careers like the judge and Indy lawyers had theirs ruined.

I bet the "female friend" was his mom! We know it damn sure wasn't his exwife.....

Randy's estimate of SECN/school: "Last year, SECN distributed about $6.6 million/ SEC school. I haven't yet gotten all the numbers I need to project what this year's distribution will be, but I don't see how they will match last year's numbers if they are losing 5% of their gross revenue y-o-y."

49 minutes later he moves the goal posts and says the revenue will remain unchanged. "Looks like SECN payouts are going to be right at $6 million/school again this year."

Of course the numbers have not been released yet by the SEC so we will have to wait for the real story after Aug 31 2016.

Lone nutjob's "projections" based on no facts whatsoever equals $6 million.

SEC network's "redneck accounting" equals $30+ million.

You know Duke was going to lowball the numbers, but he should have gone no more than 10-20%. Claiming $6 million is just laughable.

What an idiot.

It's really sad and pathetic to see him (RD) have to cry himself to sleep every night worrying about what A&M is getting every year off the SEC network, and regular tv revenue. Why he even bothers is beyond me. We are far better off than we ever were when we were part of the sh@t show known has the big12.

Hell the realignment thread on the shag is over 1200 pages and is 6 years old. They need to have a birthday for it and get a few pictures of its first day of school to celebrate. I am glad as hell we don't have to worry about that. All we have to do is kick to the curb the malcontents that keep knocking on the SEC's door. We are secure and free of the riff raft we used to associate with by being in the SEC. It's a veritable breath of fresh air.

It truly is amazing how this fool thinks because he can't find the answers regarding us that it never happened!

quote:
**** always has some ass backward way of analyzing things to "prove" their "greatness." They compare net revenues for UT athletics to gross revenues for ****.

**** athletics had to borrow $16 million from the academic side just to pay their bills for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 as well as another $5.2 million in 2012. They still haven't been able to pay those loans back.

I can't find an example in the history of UT athletics as well as OU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan or a long list of other schools where their athletics department had four consecutive years or a span of five years out of seven of being totally unable to pay their bills. Yet **** mocks UT athletics for leading the nation in having their athletics department contribute money to the core responsibility of the university - academics.

When Mack was let go and Charlie came on board, UT had one year where expenses exceeded revenues, and that was covered by Bellmont's $40 million reserve fund. Yet, **** went nuts, insisting UT athletics had a financial crisis. Mind you, UT still made its contribution to the academic side that year, and that contribution was far in excess of the budgetary shortfall, but nonetheless, **** declared a financial crisis within Bellmont. **** has turditionally struggled to pay their bills, now has debt service payments that are roughly 25% of gross operating revenues, including "donations" (UT's debt service payments are less than 8% of gross operating revenues), even after their Kyle Field upgrade boondoggle the overall book value of UT athletics facilities is more than three times that of **** facilities, and UT is the one with the financial crisis. Redneck accounting strikes, yet again.

One of my favorite indications of the difference between the scope and scale of UT athletics as compared to **** is the fact **** is building a track facility on their campus. They haven't been able to afford a track facility at all since their last dilapidated piece of crap was deemed unsafe in 2004. Their new track facility will have a capacity of 3,000. The Saturday attendance for Texas Relays at the UT track facility is over 20,000.

They can't afford athletics facilities that meet the needs of the most important athletics events in the state, they can't afford to leverage their athletics department to help support the core mission of the university, they are up to their eyeballs in facilities debt, and yet they still deride the way UT manages its athletics department finances. Does it get any more **** than that?

OMFG. Yeah bro, UT is reporting net revenues. LMAO His mental gymnastics are incredible. Where is he pretending the reports of how much the Athletic Dept pays the academic side coming from? UT's financial situation is changing as the teams perform poorly, and instead of acknowledging it and trying to fix it, they keep changing what numbers they report to maintain the narrative. That spells disaster long term.

Who needs 20,000 seats at a track stadium all the time for one event a year?

Under provisions of the new 5-year agreement, use of "12th Man" on the Ring of Honor in the Seahawks' stadium will no longer occur, nor will there be any references to "12th Man" in social media by the Seahawks franchise, Texas A&M officials announced.

....

Texas A&M officials directly involved in the negotiations said the Seattle Seahawks will continue to pay an annual royalty fee under the new agreement. The Seahawks did not desire any expansion of the previous agreement, they said, so the covered territory for use remains in the Pacific Northwest. Also, they said the Seahawks have shifted their branding to "12" or "12s," with the new agreement primarily for "incidental use" as it relates to the team's fan base.

He will wait for the monetary portion of the deal to be revealed. It will be a small figure (and plenty of Aggies will ***** and moan also). But Randy will seize on the monetary element as proof that A&M knows that it's rights to the mark are based on a fraud.

Basically, just another diatribe that proves Randy knows very little about law and even less about trademark law.

The amount really doesn't matter. It is about protecting the trademark. It gets monetized in other ways that the university licenses to promote the university. That's where the money is. Not when the Seahawks use it. Does little for the university.

Big difference.

My favorite part:

As part of the new five-year deal, the Seahawks will pay an undisclosed royalty fee for using the mark just in the Pacific Northwest. A source also told ESPN that the Seahawks annually will help fund some of A&M's legal bills to protect the mark.
