They had to get rid of all those seats the Aggies didn't buy up every other year. That was a serious loss of revenue and the tarp expenses for all the other games were skyrocketing.

I went there a few years ago in our last home game there and the old one was a **** hole. worst bathrooms I've seen. this is a lot nicer, but still tiny...
oh well.

I tell you -- the new St. John Stadium of the Inconspicuous Tarp lit up at night just beautifies the entire Baylor campus and Waco sky line!

Simple solution to the lack of parking: All of the "baylro faithful" will just walk across the water to see their ferocious bares play.
With their typical attendance, 2500 parking spaces should be more than enough. If not, Burger King will probably throw in a couple of bus tickets to go along with the two game tickets that are already included with the Whopper combo.

On a more serious note, the stadium may be "really nice", but it looks like a hospital or Class A office space.
Another total gaffe is the fact that they put the stand so far away from the field. I was shocked to see that. I can't believe that anyone makes that mistake anymore.

Brilliant! And completely different than all the renderings...
This was the plan and rendering.....oops instead of 2 unobtrusive screens in the corners leaving a nice view....they blocked the only decent view out of the stadium.

and what was supposed to be a nice open walking concourse with a seethru view into the stadium from that side is gone as well...just a pile of dirt making a berm under the screen completely blocking any pedestrian view.
Man, that place really is in the 'hood! Everybody in that rendering is black!
