If Puddy was correct, Dallas should have a .0625 winning % against ALL NBA refs in the postseason

The fact of the matter is, if you take out games reffed by Crawford Dallas has the third highest playoff win % in the least 8 years and the second highest in the league in the regular season

and i dont mean to ruffle too many feathers around here, but listening to the spurs/rockets fans (why the rockets fans are even in this conversation is beyond me) claim that Hostile needs a foil hat when he talks about the Mavs' record when Crawford refs is a liiiiiiiittle ironic considering the way this board speaks of Dave Yeast.

just sayin

you think that difference had a thing to do with the Mavs going to the hole more, combined with the hack-a-Damp embarrassing routine by the Spurs?

They tried that dumb experiment for all of or 3 possessions. I'm not getting dragged into the ref conspiracy though, you clods....so quit trying.

Because you can't explain ti away logically

Is it really that hard to believe something is up when Crawford was called out BY NAME as a cheater by someone with firsthand knowledge and nothing to gain by telling people that?

Like I said, even the most ardent Mavs haters cant explain away those numbers

Weren't the Mavs also something like 0-23 ATS when favored at by more than 4 points? It's called playing down to your competition and not having a killer instinct. Stupid stat, and stupid argument. Pulling bullsh-t stats like these are for butt hurt dipsh-ts.

No

And for the record, you know as well as I do you'd be ****ting your pants all over this board if the Spurs won games 6% of the time they faced a certain ref over the past decade, as you should. That isnt normal, or even close to it

Mavs turn the ball over 7 times, Spurs turn it into 9 points. 5 fouls on turnovers or Orebs.

During the Spurs 19-2 run, were the refs also responsible for:

The Mavs missing 11 field goal attempts in a row, mostly on jump shots?
The Mavs going without a FG for the final 7:47 of Q3 (again, mostly due to shooting jumpers)?
The Mavs turning it over 7-8 times?
The Spurs being hot from the outside during the run?

You act like the foul discrepancy is the telling statistic that the Mavs got screwed, which doesn't make any sense and is looking at it in a vaccuum. The Spurs only went to the line 7 times during the run, with one of those being Dirk's technical, so a grand total of 3 of those fouls called on the Mavs actually led to FTs for the Spurs. And let's not forget the Spurs are a poor FT shooting team and made only 4 of those 7.

So the Spurs were hot and taking care of the ball (1 turnover) while the Mavs couldn't take care of the ball or buy a basket yet were still settling for jumpers and their superstar had few very if any shot attempts (in his defense, he was being doubled). But you're right, the foul disparity caused the run, not any other reason.

BMED, dude give it a rest. You've gone from rattled to frustrated to delusional about this whole referee thing. My gawd dude, refs are part of the game and they don't get every call right. It happens to EVERY team in every sport. Is it frustrating? Yes. Does it make you wanna throw a brick at the ref? Yes. But no one takes it to the level that you have. How many times during the season does Dirkus get a questionable call in his favor? It happens all the time. Every time A&M plays tu in bball and we don't win I think that the refs handed the game to them, but after about 5 minutes I realize how dumb I'm being. You're losing it/becoming my favorite Dallas poster, neither of which is a good thing.

At least once a game if not more

Now, think about how many superstars have been allowed to single-handidly win an entire postseason series because of their ability to get a call every time they touch the ball. Jordan, Wade, Lebron, Kobe, Shaq, Paul, etc. Now, not all of those players won just because they could get to the line anytime they wanted, but it did help dictate the series. Dirk has game every now and then (Game one), but statistically he doesnt get near the respect come playoff time that the NBA gives most "stars".

Contrary to the stereotype, he DOES drive to the basket and, because he's a 7-footer barreling through the lane awkwardly, he takes a beating. Say what you want about his flopping (and he does flop a lot) but he gets the crap knocked out of him on a regular basis because its hard to defend a 7 footer going full force off the dribble into the paint without hitting him.

Personally, Im tired of the star treatment and think the NBA needs to reevaluate the definition of a foul, but until then I'll continue to wonder why Dirk doesnt get the respect that his status as a player would tell you he would get

They've already been addressed. Why do you think Dallas turned the ball over so many more times than SA in the one short segment of the game that the run occured in? Did Dallas suddenly grease up the ball? Did the Spurs just decide to play better defense for one random 6 minute stretch? Or were the Spurs just allowed to play a different kind of defense?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
You have a different definition of "worked" than I do, it appears

It takes a much bigger suspension of belief to think that, surrounded by Dallas dominance, SA picked three random stretches of games to suddenly player harder and better, and then immediatly after go back to getting their **** kicked in. After that run in game 4, Dallas outscored SA by 9 over the final 10 minutes. They outscored by 15 prior to the run.

Why didnt SA just play better the whole way in? Or start playing better earlier? Or at least sustain their great play for longer than 6 minutes?

So Dallas starts playing sloppy and it's not their fault it's the refs? Never in the history of sports has one team started to make mental mistakes due to crowd noise, being out of rhythm, or a momentum shift. Nope never. It's called going on a run. One team usually does well, the other team doesn't. If I'm not mistaken Dallas had an 11-2 run late in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to 2. Was that b/c the refs randomly switched their rules again, this time in favor of Dallas? I didn't know that anytime a team goes through a stretch or series that is out of character, it was due to someone else's subjective officiating, not their own mental mistakes. Do you f'n hear yourself?

Edited for more BMED hating.

Remember that brick wall analogy that I told you about earlier? Yeah, that also applies here. Basketball is all about runs, you effin MORON! It’s almost like you’ve never picked up a basketball in your life. Judging by your pic, I wouldn’t have a real hard time believing that.

THIS

Dallas still got within 2 with a few minutes to go in game 4 and I didn't see any real questionable calls from that point, so the Spurs took the game over and won. It's over, everyone stfu about it, game 5 is tonight.

1. Voted it down as a troll
2. Realized that I was once again being ridiculed by the very-brilliant comic stylings of AHOV and ignored it completely
3. Posted several dozen cryptic rejoinders reinforcing my paranoia
4. Scratched my defoliated dome, reached into my bag of Intertron cliches and suggested that OP was full of rage, should embrace it, see their shrink, make a bet, take the bait, get stabbed by Mexicans, etc
