Whether DeRuyter has success should be looked at based on his past body of work. Why would you compare what TTU did as a team last year to what DeRuyter did at AFA when the two don't even ****in matter this year (in a side by side comparison)?

Honestly, how are you this retarded?

What's wrong, taxes? You don't like vegetables? I'm just trying to say that you and your boyfriends should try to use spell check every once in a while. It's not that hard.

It must really hurt to be fourth rate in athletics and academics. Help me understand what you really have to be proud of?

Buddy Holly?
Mud storms?
Gonorrhea?

Yeah, that just about does it. So, you can calm down now because I really do see why you carry such a huge chip on your shoulder. You're a sad little circus clown and no amount of ranting is going to erase the makeup from your face....or stop the laughter from everyone else who happens to look your way.

Thanks for the laughs. Really. I mean it. You brighten my day.

I guess I'm gonna have to type it out for your dumbass.

You want to do an honest comparison of DeRuyter/A&M and Tech....do a comparison of Tubby's work versus DeRuyters....not DeRuyter against Ruffin stupid chit.

How many times does someone have to illustrate for you that you're clearly missing the point? No one was trying to compare DeRuyter at Air Force to Tech, Ruffin McNeal, or anything remotely close.

It's being used to illustrate the point that disregarding DeRuyter's defense last year at Air Force because of "the offenses he played" is a ridiculous argument for a Tech fan to make, LIKE DOC DID IN THIS THREAD.

CLK, are you concerned about A&M switching to a 3-4 base defense without a legitmate NT?

No, it's not. Air Force played terrible offenses....average rank of 70. Only saving grace was playing Houston in the bowl game or it would have been 6 spots worse.

Air Force played offenses who's average rank was 66. Tech played offenses who's average rank was 60. Without Houston, Tech's would have been even worse.

You've managed in the same post to say that something isn't the case, and then show that actually, it is the case. You're just too stupid to understand that you did.

Are you concerned about Texas, a school you have no affiliation with at all, switching to a more pro-style offense without a legit RB on campus?

DeRuyters doesn't have near the pedigree Joe Kines had when he was hired. DeRuyter coached in the MWC, Kines coached in the SEC. Why do Aggies think DeRuyter will magically fix their defense?

DeRuyters resume looks pretty weak next to this:

"During his time on the Alabama football coaching staff, Kines had to replace seven starters prior to the 2006 season and his unit responded as the third ranked pass defense in the SEC and fifth against the run. Opponents could not match Kines' adjustments as Bama foes managed only seven points per game in the second half.

Kines' 2005 unit was ranked in the top nine nationally in all five major statistical categories, one of only two defensive units to make such a claim. Alabama ranked first in scoring defense, second in total defense, fifth in pass defense and pass efficiency defense and ninth in rushing defense.

Kines was named one of six finalists for the 2005 Broyles Award, an honor for the nation's top assistant coach.

The 2004 defensive unit ranked first nationally in pass defense and was second in total defense. One of the Alabama defensive stars from 2002-05 was current Houston Texans' linebacker DeMeco Ryans, who recently started for the AFC in the Pro Bowl. Ryans was the 2005 SEC Defensive Player of the Year and was a first-team All-America selection."

I am a little. They're talented RBs who were highly touted out of HS. Hopefully their lack of production was due to the offensvie schemes they've had to endure these last few years.

For not having a running game, the horns managed to gash the Aggies for almost 300 yards rushing, at your house last season.

On Kyle Field last year, Tre Newton averaged 6.7 yards a carry and our QB averaged 9.7 yards a carry.

The Aggies shouldn't be bad mouthing a rushing attack that gashes their defense like that, at Kyle Field.

But that was Joe Kines. His resume isn't nearly as impressive as DeyRuter's. The SEC is nothing like coaching at Air Force, in the MWC.

Just to make my point even further about how stupid you really are, the average offensive ranking of Alabama's opponents this year was 55. Air Force was 66. Alabama had the #2 defense in the country behind TCU. According to your logic, Alabama's defense wasn't really that great-they just played a lot of bad offenses.

You're right. They actually throw the ball a lot in the MWC. Thanks for making that point, dip****.

We don't "know" if he will. We just believe he's got a solid chance to do so given the circumstances, the nature of his defensive scheme, and how he's performed recently against good passing offenses. It's an educated guess. Just like what every other coaching hire in America is. Like Stoops. Like Brown. Like Tuberville. A guess.

This is a window into the depth of how incredibly dense you are.

Not only did they play Houston, they DOMINATED them defensively.

That would be like telling Alabama the only saving grace of their 2009 season was beating UT in their bowl game, otherwise their record would have been worse.

AFA was ranked 70 you ******* moron. Go look at the THIRTEEN GAMES they played...not 11. That's 15 spots difference from Alabama.

And did I say, at any time, that ONLY offensive strength is indicative of DeRuyter sucking? Nope...only that I'm not all that impressed with his resume given his weak teams, conferences, SOS, offense strength (or lack of), etc.

Should he be a good haul, great for you.
