at least dallas "metrosexuals" (hp and slc) can dogstomp anyone on the football field. how good are spewston's more affluent neighborhoods at football? one more reason dfw is the king of the only sport that matters in this state. better high school, college, and pro football up here.

Houston Lamar serves River Oaks. parents can't afford River Oaks, and the few that do send their kids to private schools.

i'm glad all the good blue-blooded Americans are saying what Grapevine has said for decades...

SLC is more like The Woodlands or Clements than it is Memorial or Lamar.

gotcha, i guess i thought River Oaks fed memorial. Isn't there a Memorial Park, is that near Memorial HS?

No friggin idea, i probably make it to Houston once every 3 years.

I would have gone to Westbury had we stayed there in the 70's. Who here seen a leprechaun say "yaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!".

Memorial Park is relatively close to Memorial HS. Maybe 5-7 miles.

that's what i thought. We've got a pretty big 12th Man donor btw whose dad was the head basketball coach at Memorial for YEARS, believe he's a fairly big legend in Texas HS coaching.

or so i've heard. i just remember the perfect little neighborhood where everyone had kids in the same age bracket, we could run around on our own even at the age of 5 and 6, everyone was outside all the time.

sometimes we'd put a cap in someone's ass for looking at us the wrong way, but other than that it was Big Wheels and waiting for the ice cream truck.

Wow, Scot, I actually remember that place as a kid. I'm sure since the early 70's there have been shootings on more than one occassion.

muy...

maybe I'm mixing it up with another school Scot, but we played Westbury in the playoffs sometimes and it was an interesting night at the Astrodome...
