Anybody have recommendations that could help me through this? Selling a house in Houston and looking for a few rentals in CS. Have the realtors down but need a qualified intermediary or advisor to help through this.

I've used Asset Preservation several times and always pleased. apiexchange.com

I believe I chose them the first time because they don't charge for additional replacement properties if you plan on buying more than one.

How do they make their money? Do they reap the interest off of the lump cash from your sale you have to deposit with them?

They charge a fee. The one I did last year was $1250. But yes, they probably make some interest although I'm not sure if the IRS allows that.
