We are wanting to buy some acreage for weekend/recreational use, until kids are out of school 10 years from now, at which point we plan to build and move on to the land for our forever home.

Ideally somewhere within a 2 hour drive or so of the Austin area where we live currently.

Are there some good land-specific websites to search for land? Or is Realtor.com and other standard Real Estate sites the best to use?

Cross post on OB. Lots of folks over there that can be a resource and a much more traffic there

See if Louie Swope could help you out. Good Ag selling Land. Showed one of his places a few weeks ago. Very professional.

Your best option is to talk with a realtor that specializes in land. Give James (Hammond Real Estate Group) a call. He'll treat you right!
