Showing mock ups of things like thst is pretty standard, including virtual staging. The quality of the depictions is what is terrible. Its like Sims 2000 level bad.

I understand putting mockups on some houses. Especially ones that are higher end and/or are incomplete. But this is a completed cookie cutter house (and the yard doesn't look near as big as they are boasting to fit a pool and a garage).

There absolutely is room for garage and a small pool. I've got an oversized detached garage and enough room for a small pool and my lot is smaller than theirs and the house footprint is about the same. My front yard is probably bigger. Pools do not need to be massive. The pool i could fit would probably be about that size.

You acted incredulous that they would include the mockup. It isn't ridiculous thst they would do that, it's ridiculous that they would use ms paint to do so. To bolster your argument you said there isn't enough room. There is. Its an over 12k sq foot lot.

The stupid part is the majority of the photos were of the nonexistent pool.

12 of the 18 photos were of the exterior of the home and yard.

5/12 were the pool.

That tells you the interior was not photo worthy.

Gotta get as many houses as possible for more money. It use to be they'd give those cul-de-sac houses nice sized pie lots, looks like someone figured out how to squeeze as much as they can out of the land they have to build.

And I just realized its about the exact same house. The elevation is ever so slightly different, but way too close for comfort. Oh my god. It just gets worse and worse. Surely there is a discount on that back one, but some poor schmuck is going to take it in the shorts when its time to sell the thing.

That's not how lights work. Good grief. The "enhancement" trend is stupid. It's a million dollar property, spend the time and effort and take some damn photos at night if it's that important.

My house in College Station was on a cul de sac, and the next street over was also a (very short) cul de sac. No rear neighbors because it backed up to a green space. But on the west side, I had two neighbors. One's back yard was adjacent to my driveway, the other's back yard was adjacent to my side yard.

I thought the configuration was a little weird at first, but it wasn't an issue at all when it came time to sell. And it actually afforded a lot of privacy.

But being adjacent to a driveway like in that picture above??? No thanks. Just my luck, the owner would park 5 cars there and turn the garage into a man cave.

Yeah, now that I look at it again, I think that's the case. So, that driveway in between the two houses isn't shown on Google maps.

I have a real hard time believing that lot is 14k square feet, too. And if it is, that's a TERRIBLE use of a lot that size.

The house that shows on Google Maps (8927) only has an 8255 sq ft lot.

If you look at the vacant lot screenshot, they gave the corner to the center house, so I think it got a backyard and the left house didn't. The left house is like $600k patio home

8927 pretty much doesn't have any front yard, either. The house is only 3019 sq feet, so I'm trying to figure out where the other 5200 sq ft of lot is. On the side?

It's a shame because Highland is building some really stylish homes right now.

My 'hood has a similar street/lot configuration to that, but the developer partitioned it into three lots, not four.
