Holy heck...$800/sq ft?!? I'm literally OTL since I live in the burbs, but is stuff in town really going for that much?

It's only about 4 times higher than it should be. I don't know if anyone who could afford the land would want that house...so it's probably just worth lot value.

Someone should email the listing agent and tell her the house is located in Houston, TX and not "The Heights, Tx." God I hate realtors that have no brains. It's not in the Heights.

I guess the thought is that someone who has $4M to spend on a home won't know the difference and will think it's "The Heights" just because she says so. Not to mention the fact that there's not a single home in the actual Heights listed for anything near that. Or worth it, for that matter.

You can list a house for whatever you like. Why someone would waste their time? I have no idea.

Nearly every time I comp a home, I'll find one or two homes listed for 30% or more above market and just sitting there. I guess they're hoping to find a fool with cash. Maybe it's just a way to get some attention for the listing agent. Reading this ladies bio, she doesn't seem terribly sharp.

Looking through the listings in my area (always looking at what houses are being priced at, and what is moving- hoping to sell when we can)

This is quite possibly one of the most awkward houses I have seen. It is listed at $279,000, at $133/ft, most houses are going around $90/ foot or less.

so 1st- what is with the swing?
2nd- what is with all the built ins?
3rd- that is quite possibly the ugliest nursery I have ever seen.
4th - the couch in the nursery, I had one just like that in college. Mine was not that clean
5th- I know you cant "stage" common areas in a community, but at least crop out the broken rusty pipe in the tennis court picture.
