Women's Basketball Set to Host No. 13 LSU in Black-Out Game

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION The Texas A&M women's basketball team is looking to defend Reed Arena against No. 13 LSU at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19. The first 1,000 fans that enter the north entry fan zone before the game will receive a black women's basketball t-shirt.
The Aggies (17-7, 5-6 SEC) are 11-3 at home this season behind their lockdown defense and dominant rebounding effort. The Maroon & White has held three SEC opponents (Vanderbilt, Auburn and Ole Miss) to their lowest scoring games of the season and has built the No. 15 ranked scoring defense in the nation, letting up only 55.2 points a game. Texas A&M is also ranked No. 6 in rebound margin (11.0) and No. 8 in rebounds per game (44.7).
Aicha Coulibaly has filled up the stat sheet throughout the 2023-24 campaign and erupted for a season-high 20 points in A&M's previous game versus Vanderbilt. The senior guard is top three on the team in scoring (12.5) rebounds (5.7), assists (2.2) and steals (2.1) per game.
No. 13 LSU (21-4, 8-3 SEC) is venturing to Aggieland on a three-game win streak and boast the No. 2 scoring offense in the country, averaging 90.1 points per contest.
