were the starters too tired at that point??
I don't see this team getting better after these last 2 games in losses to UF and MSU

We are going to embarrass ourselves if we play like this on the 19th when LSU comes to town
Starters were just fine. One would think we would have a big advantage in bench play with Barker coming off the bench. The exact opposite happened though.
Bulldogs were scrappier today. Our players need to believe winning is an every day activity.
Barker seems scared to shoot after the concussions.

This year she is primarily just shooting over the top of the defense with a defender in front of her. She isn't putting the ball on the floor and creating a situation where the defense gets broken down and opportunities are created for others too.B$Weigem said:

Is our athletic department just broken? Honest question. With all the money invested in coaches, facilities, and athletes, we are just so mediocre across the board. Buzz makes $4.1 million a year and is in year 4 and we are still an average producing basketball program. I'm not sure what is needed or what else can be done, but winning matters. Or does it not anymore? It seems the metric is now having athletes get a free education, make money with NIL, and as long as they feel good about life that's all that matters. Bjork is gone, and quite frankly, anyone that remains that is still part of his regime should be gone too. We should not be a mediocre university in any sport.

Watched the replay and counted 6 passes that completely missed the player being passed to. It seemed like a lot more.
The last 2 games we made good adjustments for the 3rd quarter but ran out of gas in the 4th.

How does that apply to our new coaches and their underperformance. Are you saying that the culture promotes and is okay w this?
We are in trouble. Our new Interim AD is not going to do anything. Either the coach does not know who to recruit or coach. Perhaps both. The turnovers are incredible.

Culture is a word that some use to accept defeat. BS. It all starts with the coach. Recruiting, coaching technique, strategy, play development, and ball movement. And of course the one important thing is defense/
Quit trying to dump this on the coaches- let's start with elementary basketball execution - dribble ball on floor keep it close and be aware of where players r so they don't steal the ball - ps don't dribble on your own foot ......throw all passes within the lines of the court to your fellow player....not the third row of the stands or the opposing player ...... now I know this sounds silly/stupid but how many times in the last few games have we repeatedly done this and how in the hell can you put this on the coaches

I do feel we are a better team than last hear, so in that since, technically and objectively, we have improved. I'm disappointed in Aggie athletics in general, but being a national player throughout most of Gary's tenure has spoiled us. Idk how long it takes to build a solid program. All we can look at is our competitors, rivals, and somewhat look at the men's basketball program. In 4 years, Buzz has been a 2 time SEC coach of the year but has only made the tournament once.
For me, the disappointment in performance is with the athletes and the seemingly passive coaching on the sidelines. I just don't get the no timeout concept. It's like - hope they figure it out. If not, oh well. Is this just her style and what to expect moving forward?
I don't want to beat down the players. I know they read the messages in this room. I'm sure they are just as frustrated as we are. But I will say, that as a fan this just isn't good enough and something needs to change. I suspect we will lose players to the portal which might be a good thing considering how good the portal players are she brought in this year.

I recognize the names. Part of the Blair choir. Never objective enough to state the obvious years ago. Hard to criticize an old friend, that you are obvious friends, so I forgive you. I am more distant. Bottom line like other coaches that should have been fired years earlier Blair had lost this appeal, could not recruit or motivate.

Blair had a solid senior class the year before it just all went to **** during his farewell tour a year later. Prior to that, seemed like Chennedy was a huge focus of his and turned quite a few off (speculation) and recruiting did fall off for whatever reason. I was one that did think it was time for us to move on from him. I was excited about the Joni hire and have very high expectations and so, admittedly, I have been disappointed in what I've seen as season 2 unfolds. She is very intelligent and obviously knows the game, has connections and is a good representative for our school. I wish she'd call timeouts and manage the game better. Just my 2 cents. I'm so tired of being mediocre in everything. Culturally, and I've said this before, I'm not a huge fan of coaches that are besties with their athletes and I think athletes should respect their coaches as leaders and address them as Coach and not by their first name. That's odd to me as someone in his 40s. Seems like there's no delineation between friend and coach these days.
