Very strange

This certainly is a weird situation, you would think if they had at least 7 available players they would play the games.

This really is horrible.....I feel bad for the kids, team and school.

TCU is organizing open tryouts for full-time students who are interested in joining the women's basketball team as a walk-on for the remainder of the season. The tryouts will be held on Thursday and Friday. In the post made on X (formerly known as Twitter), TCU mentioned that the students must have prior high school basketball experience in order to be eligible to join the team.

Wow, that's really a sad situation.

Also, they are not refunding the tickets to these games. They only offer an exchange for another home game. What are visiting fans going to do with that?

Our staff was talking about holding tryouts at about this time last year when our roster was down to narrow numbers. I don't know if that ever happened or if we got some players back to give a little more room.

Is this some sort of ploy to not hurt their tournament resume? Take two forfeits (instead of two losses)?

More like 6 I think for 2-3 games.

It doesn't say how many players they have left and it doesn't sound like any of the hurt players are coming back soon. So why not forfeit the entire year

Interesting story Ag92N and thanks for the link. Looks like TCU had some pretty good women's Bball talent just walking around campus. Glad they could continue to play.

Maybe Coach Taylor could find a couple of 6'3/6'4 players on campus when JB & MJ are out because of concussions.

There was a young lady that poured in 10 shots from the free throw line at the Missouri game last night. .
