Just really dumb basketball. This has to be one of the lowest IQ teams in terms of basketball smarts we have ever had at A&M.

And A&M will make their way to a SEC tourney bottom 4 play-in game.

Really bad loss. That matches the TCU loss as our worst if the year.

So disappointed with the veteran players making silly mistakes, I think this shows that they are not keeping their head in the game. Did have a chance when Patty got the rebound but missed the layup.

Just not a good basketball team. Sometimes you have to call it what it is.

I think that was the Nixon layup that didn't hit the rim, so it was a shot clock violation.

Davis and Abrams scored 57 of Alabama's points. Hoppie did a much better job on Abrams, but she couldn't cover Davis too and she got left wide open too many times.

Got killed on the offensive boards.

Aggies had 20 offensive boards to Bama's 12, not killed on the boards. Also overall Aggies had 54 to Bama's 42.

Any chance Gary will retire to the stands, and let KBW run the show so we can see what she can do as a head coach, since she has never been one?

That will never happen. I'd like to see the non starters get more time at this point.

Does that mean Patty and Roby will be back next season (if they don't transfer out)?

Looking back at the stats, that was a very frustrating game to lose. We can't ever seem to shut down an opposing teams leading scorers (at the same time, give Alabama credit for getting hot). However, let's be honest; a top team does not miss as many free throws as we missed. Also, how many unexplainable turnovers did we have late in the game by our seniors? Unbelievable. That was the difference in the game right there. Should have never gone to overtime.
I pray the remaining athletes that aren't leaving aren't too despondent and won't give up on the program. My fear is that with GB leaving, we have a mass exodus of players transferring out of the program.

I know I have been critical of the play by this year's team and probably called out a player or two in the heat of the moment. Therefore I wanted to come back on here to say that I in no way think that any player is not giving their best effort. We all know that Jordan has been playing with an injured knee and has also recently reveled her mental health struggles. I suggest that there are probably more things going on behind the scenes that none of us are aware of that my be affecting other team members as well. In addition, the early bouts with Covid have probably had a bigger impact on the team then any of us realize. This year has certainly not gone the way I expected and I am disappointed for all of the players and staff, but especially for those players who as seniors or graduate students are finishing their careers on a less then stellar note.
I will continue to support the team for the remaining games and I hope everyone else will as well. Like most of you I look forward to seeing who the next coach of the team will be because I don't think things are quite as hopeless as some my think. Good luck in the final games and Gig'em!

No way should that player get 32! Did graphic show that Abrams had a 4+ season average

but we allowed her 23?

IMO there is no solution that matters at this point in the season. Our only hope into the NCAAs is to win the SEC conference. We do not have the personnel to compete for that title (again, IMO).

Let the subs play and see what they can do. Reward those that give 110% in practice. I will be sad to see Hoppie move on. Would have loved to have seen what she would have accomplished for 4/5 years at TAMU.
