What it means is that there has never been a freshman point guard 1st team All-SEC & All-American scoring over 20 PPG who became the focal point of the team for better or worse. It's a difficult adjustment for any upperclassmen expecting to be more of a focal point. A scoring point guard who can score and penetrate opens it up for everybody. However, shooting percentages didn't go up nor did the shot attempts go down.

What she probably doesn't realize is that she can not transfer to another school and be accepted as the leader that she is here.

I have to admit at first I was disappointed but it is her decision and by now I've accepted it. However, McCowan is definitely the star of MSU and I don't see them making the final four next year after losing four starters. But defense does win championships so I'm sure Vic might have them ready for another run.

What do we know so far besides Uconn didn't offer her and this quote from her Mom appears to be silly given some of the schools she is visiting (as an example, Mississippi St.'s academics are pretty much awful across the board).

I'm pretty sure she forfeited her leadership role anywhere when she opted out of the family. Some bad decisions can be haunting for a lifetime.

The School of Journalism and Mass Communications offers degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Bachelor's
Aspiring reporters and editors can choose between journalism and broadcast journalism, or the more broad mass communications major. We also offer majors in advertising and public relations. Students interested in using illustrative ways to create and share information can study visual communications.

Certificate
We offer a post-bachelor's degree certificate in health communication.

Master's
Students can begin their graduate education by choosing one of two master's programs in journalism and mass communication. We also offer a joint mass communication and law degree.

Ph.D.
Students pursing a doctoral degree may choose our program of study in mass communication.

Assuming she can transfer wherever she wants, ie; in conference, due to being a grad transfer? She may have a decent season wherever she chooses to go, but I doubt that the result will truly be what she is expecting it to be. She would have left here as one of the all time fan favorites and accomplished players if she were to stay due to her effort, hustle and complete body of work. Will be seen as a nice one year addition somewhere else.

Too bad about UConn. With ESPN right down the road, that might have been the best fit. Or one of the Los Angeles schools. But then again we are clueless on the real reason(s) this is happening.

I'm sure she and her mother were flabbergasted that Geno didn't just roll out the red carpet to ensure that she got that communications leg up. Oh, well.

I guess this is more evidence to confirm what a few others have said here.

The senior transfers are gone and the staff is moving on. Good riddance and let's get positive about next season.

Players and coaches actually moved on from both players a while ago. The plan was to recruit a 4 for 2019 out of high school, but Anriel torpedoed that plan.

I can't lie, Anriel remains one of my favorite basketball players and I will miss her hustle on the court!

Having said that, I hope this juco transfer is as talented and dominant as Daniel Adams was and can help us win another national championship!

The coaches thought she was dependable for another season. They did not anticipate her BSC mother and her desperate need for validation

Wow...Gary has never really had to deal with the " super star" player and her impact on team chemistry. Anriel and Danni probably could benefit from a shot of maturity , but in the end the team will rise or fall on the back of Chennedy Carter and I guess they didn't want to contribute to what they viewed as her success rather than the teams.

I just don't think either one of them could deal with playing second fiddle to CC and the freedom she had.

So you are saying that two players that both graduated in three years lack maturity. Maybe it is so toxic to not want to deal with a very talented but also very selfish player who plays no real team defense
I think Carter can be the greatest player in program history but I can also see why two talented players left the program as well

I am ok with whatever choice they come up with. Of course I would want them to finish their careers here but obviously they choose to leave a situation for whatever reasons they have. If they play us I hope we beat them because I root for TAMU but I also will wish them well

The interview she gave the Mississippi newspaper was very snarky toward the Aggie coaches who developed her talent and spoke of the ugly comparisons Vic and Johnnie made. They were not giving her good advice. They were in full recruiting mode and slamming the Aggies
