What's causing the uptick on this one the past couple of days?

I got in over the holidays because I was bored.

Lots of Administration talk about Venezuela's rare earths and how US companies might get involved in reviving that industry. Not sure how WWR would be involved so maybe this is just moving on that general sector news. That's the best I can come up and don't see anything specific to WWR.

I took profits last year and had gainz of $30,800.

Then I got back in too soon. Lost $6,800 when I sold near year end. Could have held firm, but I needed tax loss harvesting at the end of the year because (boo hoo) I had one of the best years of my life financially.

Net gainz $23,900.

Got back in and I'm up $3,376.72 and hodl for now.


Only $200k more to go for my lambo.

Edit: I looked into the wash sale rules and hopefully did everything correctly and within correct time frames.

Whelp clock is reset for being under a dollar and threatened with delisting. We're good for another few months.

Do you have a rollover IRA that you can trade in? I have a brokerage account, a Roth, and a rollover IRA that I can trade in. If I take the loss in the brokerage account, and rebuy in the Roth or rollover, I don't have to worry about the wash.

I don't have a Roth or rollover IRA. I've looked into it, but I know there are income requirements and what not. I know there are ways around it - I'll have to look into that. I did not know about that rule, thank you.

I have a managed SEP through work and a few personal investment accounts that I manage.

Maybe they get some interest or a new deal out of this.

With the loss of the Stellantis deal, they are now all in to provide graphite for SK On. They also have a deal to sell byproduct to Hiller Carbon.

If either of those deals go south, that would be bad. Earnings come out in March
