I picked up Fire Proof and started reading. I'll keep giving it a go but it seems like it's geared to personal injury firms, which is an entirely different model from the hourly type office. Plus, many of the businesses in this book already have their internal operations running and are looking to hit the next step of growth. I think my business is in an earlier/worse stage than those contemplated by the book. I'm going to take what I can from Traction and Fire Proof and try to incorporate it.
I've also decided to get a dedicated paralegal and "let go of the vine". I've contracted with a paralegal to advise and consult on setting up a lawyer/paralegal system for the production of the "product". I'm having them make a binder that covers all aspects of how the internals of the business run. That way, any educated paralegal can step in within a few days.
Once I get that going, I think I'll start seeing a return. And once that happens, I'll retain a business coach for the general business.
I wish I was a messenger, and all the news was good. Eddie V.
