Looking for a financial advisor that is willing to do a one-off financial portfolio/'am I on track' review. I am not looking for a long-term financial advisor, mutual fund offerings, whole life etc., any recommendations for someone who can do this in The Woodlands?

One of these might even be an Aggie.

A DIY approach is to project your investable assets at your retirement age and simulate taking 4-5% for income. Add in your projected SS and any other income, look at what your expenses are (a tip…they're higher than you think) and find out if you're in a deficit or a surplus. That's pretty much what any FP will do but he/she will also tell you to save more and buy more insurance.
I use 4% for withdrawals because you'll likely beat that in net returns over time plus once you start RMD's a rule of thumb on initial withdrawals is 4%.

Make sure you get a fiduciary and stay away from Ed Jones, JPM, ML, etc…

Are you looking for an hourly advisor then or just free advice? Also is the Volvo still part of your financial plan HA?

Here's a couple of hourly planners I know:

Note hourly doesn't mean cheap though both are great at what they do.

I'm happy to give your financial plan a brief look too if you'd like just to make sure you're on track...no cost/obligation though full disclosure I am a fee-only advisor for HNW clients across Texas.

Ha, no, I sold the Volvo… Don't miss it!

Thanks y'all, I have done a lot of DIY checks and have built a sizable portfolio And basically want a professional to double check my plan. Happy to pay a fee for this. Would want a review of college savings trajectory also.
