Only a handful of locations offer ethanol-free fuel, guess you are one of the lucky ones.Ducks4brkfast said:
Buccees has ethanol free gas and a great car wash. I rarely go inside.
what is the "right tea"? I've always found them to have some of the best ice tea of any road stop.LOYAL AG said:If you make me choose loyalty to Buc EEs over loyalty to my source of caffeine I'm choosing the caffeine source. Sounds like they're going to **** up a pretty good thing by taking the Wal Mart approach. I don't go to Buc EEs worried about a dime on a bottle of water or tea but if you don't carry the right tea I won't go at all. There's lots of places to get gas and "it's Buc EEs" only goes so far when they don't carry what you want. Like the huge clean bathrooms but I'm a man with time in the infantry so I can pee anywhere. If they stop carrying the drinks we all want because of contracts or pricing issues I'll just stop somewhere else. It'll be interesting to see where they go.
Yes, they have actual brewed tea as opposed to anything that gets overheated being processed into a bottleDiggity said:what is the "right tea"? Maybe it was around the time people stopped calling it BCS which is what I still call the area.agdaddy04 said:hedge said:

I graduated in 04 and never heard it, at least don't recall it. Mainly we called it (and still do) BCS or on occasion CS.Kenneth_2003 said:agdaddy04 said:hedge said:

I saw it transitioning in the early 2000s. I still called it CS.
I've not heard anything good about their corporate office. Sounds like a crap place to work.500,000ags said:
I interviewed with them for a Financial Analyst role a few years ago. Turned out it was to support their buyers, and the word negotiations came up 20x. The job would have been doing cost analysis in real-time while they were on the phone negotiating with vendors. Seemed intense.

Maintaining 120 squeegees, paper towels, and water is a lot extra they probably don't want to take on.TxAg20 said:
I go to Buc-ees a few times a year to get ethanol free gas for lawn equipment. How come they don't have windshield squeegees? I like a clean windshield and usually clean mine while getting gas.

I guess. But with the size of the operation, seems odd that they would draw the line there.

I'm not sure what you're asking, however the Bucees near me has something like the most gas pumps of any gas station in the US (world???) and it's often times a wait at each pump. Not sure why the business would add the extra expense.agdaddy04 said:Ducks4brkfast said:It likely adds zero valuedouble aught said:

Squeegee doesn't come with the gas?
I know several people who refuse to stop there because they don't have them.Ducks4brkfast said:It likely adds zero valuedouble aught said:

When was the last time you dropped in? Last fall Pepsi couldn't supply Gatorade at any price.burdt said:
Totally came here to b$@ch about Buc-ee's not having Gatorade! Can't believe it!
Does anyone know what the heck happened?
I feel like it's a move to sell drinks they produce or get a cut on,.. really sucks because I love buc's but won't stop there before the beach if I can't get Gatorade with everything else.

Buccee's is the most overrated, tourist trap phenom I've seen since the carnies set up their annual death rides in the parking lot of my local TG&Y back in the early '80s.
