There are many different levels to the grid, but some of this on-call capacity is cycled on an off daily whereas others are only used seasonably (summers in the south, etc). BTC just provides another revenue stream for this capacity when otherwise not required by the grid. So it's a diversification to improve the ROI on this extra capacity.

This is a very different environment, compared to 2019, but the last halving was May 11, 2020.

I don't know if you were drawing attention to the PEPE coin, but I had ~$6 on LBank and bought 48 million @ .00000011741 and am up ~60% in the last hour. Transferred another $20 from another exchange to buy some more, but LTC is soooo slow to move.

I'm pretty much all in on XRP currently.

ETA: $25 is about my limit on buying S...coins to try and catch a rocket.

I got an email from Coinbase that my ETH2 had been unstaked right at 4 pm, the exact moment of the bottom of the dip.

Maybe some correlation there.

What bitcoin’s detractors don’t understand is monetary economics, computer science, software engineering, network protocols, and electrical systems.

I'm not sure if people genuinely believe someone is going to say, "Wow, if some people say I'm a moron for not believing this, it clearly must be true."

It's not much a persuasive argument. It really just sounds like a bunch of miniature dachshunds barking because the first one one barked when it thought it heard something.

People gambling against other people lost because they are trading instead of putting coin in cold storage and working on P2P networks of goods and services.

Why? Lending is already happening and is growing. Once real world assets are included as collateral (as opposed to BTC, ETH, ADA, etc) . The current financial model will die. I give it 5-10 years.

cold storage =/ lending, if you are lending, staking, leveraging, or extending credit you are gambling and adding risk to the system. cold storage removes that risk.

There is already a P2P network created by exchanges and brokers providing on/off ramp capabilities. They provide access and price discovery. But any network, by default, is an intermediary which is antithetical to the BTC project. The long-term promise Is direct, costless, and frictionless transfers. If you're waiting on large-scale direct linkages fulfilling that promise, especially using cold storage, I wish you luck.

Based on AE past posting I interpreted that as put your BTC in cold storage and forget about it. Work on developing a network of self sustainability i.e a barter network for goods and services so you can survive when shtf.

Could be way off though.
