I feel like breaking the 45k number was big.

I managed to do really well day trading this last yo yo from 35-44k. .

Hopefully that opportunity is past now.

Was just doing some more staking of USDC on Crypto.com and noticed the rates dropped big time. Was previously staking for 1 month and getting 8% p.a.
This morning the same terms are only yielding 3% p.a. Anyone have insight into why this is?

Are other coins seeing similar drops? Or just USDC?

We were asking what the risk was... Rates dropping is a pretty obvious one.
Off the top of my head:
Coinbase ALGO from 6% to 4% to 0.45% since Jan
Blockfi stablecoins 9% to 8.5% to 7.25%
Gemini USDC 7% to 6.36%

Staking interest is a function of basic supply and demand from my quick reading so there is your answer on these rates dropping.

I stake on Exodus. Currently 15.29% on ATOM, 6% on SOL, 17.86% ONT (Do research on this one), 4.91% ADA, 10.02% ALGO, 5.66% XTZ.

Having a hard time thinking about staking rewards. Let's say you stake for a 5% return and in that same time the coin itself goes up 10%. What's your return, 15.5%?

5% + 10% + (10%*5%)

The only pragmatic way I see ro tax is when staking rewards are withdrawn or traded. They then become realized gains and can be taxed at the current price. It makes zero sense to tax the reward percent if the asset increases in price at time of withdrawl, unless thwy are going to tax us twice.
Friend of mine found this. Basically no online crypto tax service counts staking as taxable income because you're generating new coins, not earning. You don't get taxed for building furniture, but you do if you sell it.

LP can sometimes be lucrative as well if you provide the token pair. If you are really into defi, dex and decentralized stablecoins - when it comes to taxation there are so many vehicles the IRS will never be aware of. Pay your taxes though but it's the Wild West.

Welp,I actually used the indicator that I made and sold most of my Crypto 5 days ago. Having fun now watching it fall. I'll buy more up when she turns around. How are y'all fairing the current dump?

Im losing this week. I did a really well in February and March with about six buy and sell transactions in an eight week run. Went from .6 to 1 full coin. But I bought it back at 42.

We will see. I have some stop sells in case of disaster. But I don't think I am going to touch it again in April. Of course I could change my mind tomorrow.

I did move some alt coins on exchanges to stable a few months back and the interest is nice. I don't like trading my BTC though, whenever I hold it I seem to HODL

Sorry man. I seem to be a jinx, so I don't really post my guesses here anymore. If I say its going to go up based on the daily, it drops a bit before doing so and I continue to make an ass of myself. If you have trading view, I'd be glad to share my indicator and settings and you can make your own conclusions if you like the indicator.

I think we're in consolidation. If BTC can get back above 40,800, I think we'll see her rebound nicely.

Not long at all. I'm waiting until I get a buy signal on at least the 12 hour but probably the daily before I get back in.

It's one I built. Do you have a trading view account? I can share it.

I haven't gotten any feedback from the other yay-hoos I shared it with. Need to hear if it's helping anyone.

As I get more comfortable with BTC and its up and down nature, I have a question.

I initially saw this as a buy and hold asset that I would just ride out. The more I watch it the more I feel comfortable trying to time the lows and highs with smaller amounts while keeping my initial "investment" in it.

Does anyone else do this? Am I going to spend a ton of time for minimal gains?

I do it.

Long story short I bought a bitcoin last year and lost money as it fell from the top and ended the year down. I made it all up and more day trading it in February and March. I was able to go from like .61 BTC to 1 BTC in I think six trades.

Of course, I have also had big nights at black jack.

I would not say I was all that scientific about it. I just seemed to catch a good feel buying and selling as it reached strong resistance levels. I have not made a trade in a while. I kind of have that feeling of 'know when to walk away'

Bought a few coins in April 2020 and I'm starting to consider day trading 1/2 a coin or so. Do you use a VPN and bybit or phemex?

Thanks!

Ape Coin looking good!

Anyone know of a simple way to buy several coins at once? When I first got into Crypto I found Circle which became Circle Invest I think and has now been bought by Voyager. Circle let you buy several coins at once with one purchase. Then I focused on Coinbase and abandoned Circle. When Voyager bought them all those assets rolled over into Voyager and they don't offer that kind of quick purchase allocation. I'd like to find something like that again.
