Fascinating 12-18 hours for Bitcoin. A little bit of proof of concept going on.

I was about to give the happy face emoji but out of respect for Zelensky and his people I will leave it blank.

Yeah, and the alleged email he got from staff is an absolute joke. Talk about an ad hominem.

Incredible what happens when a currency back by a government at war takes a dive on the world stage…

Deregulation on a large scale looks to be pretty en vogue right about now.

Quote:

Imagine Texags moderators and staff being in charge of your money or ability to communicate within your community.

Now you know why bitcoin is so important, because thats exactly what most of us expect from our government.

Bitcoin appropriately separates the government from its ability to censor free speech, and money is just a form of communication, one thay bitcoin has provided a censorship-resistant, immutable, base layer to be built upon.

Unless complete consensus happened within Bitcoin, itd be impossible to censor or ban users from transacting. If there was a dispute or a difference in philosophies/game theory/etc you can fork the code and see who sticks around and who stays on the main chain.

The irony of this situation is that posting about the injustice and absurdity of the decision just brings more clicks, views, posts, and revenue to the site. I'd be open to an alternative to TexAgs for similar reasons as the folks who want an alternative to a twitter.

Staff, with all do respect(and I mean ALL due respect), this decision makes as much sense as a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on.

My 60 something year old conservative parents unsolicited asked me about bitcoin today shortly after a conversation about the stock market.

So, that's something I found very interesting.

Any resources for a comparison of the various exchanges?

Coinbase, Binance and Kracken seem to fit the bill. Starting with Bitcoin and maybe branching out a little bit. Probably using a Ledger or similar for storage. Not too concerned with an app (will likely stick with web). Probably a sizable initial purchase and possibly adding an auto but at certain intervals.

Depending on the initial purchase, I'd buy the ledger now. If you must make the buy before you get one then I would personally get a hot wallet(exodus, for example) and transfer it from the exchange to that as soon as they'll let you. Then get it to the ledger asap after that.

Strike is the only correct answer for BTC purchases. Take a look at their withdrawal limits/interval before you pull the trigger and make sure that works for you.
If you must have an exchange then I'd use Binance if possible. They're not available in Texas. CoinbasePro would be second.

I'm relatively inexperienced, but after Canada's antics I'm staying far away from any "big box" crypto exchanges. Need to find the ones that are sold on the mission and not sold on the profit.

I think it's really crappy and a detriment to this board that AE was banned. Lots of knowledge about crypto are lost. I request he be reinstated. I've been perma banned over a dozen time, many years ago. If not, someone PM me where we can continue dialogue with him.

Got in a passionate exchange in F16 over Bitcoin and a hot-headed mod hit him with the banhammer. According to those over in F16.

I quoted the email the mods sent him prior to the perma. Reposting because staff can go to hell for all I care. The fact that this hasn't been acknowledged by Brandon is ridiculous.

"Kevin,

You come across as 'unhinged' in your posting - the red face, the rants, the slapping at our site moderators. This would fall under 'disrespectful guest' - we don't care that you really love Bitcoin.

We don't care that you think other people should also really love Bitcoin. We don't care that you think it is the answer to all that plagues the world. That's fine. But you're like a hype-beast apostle for something you believe will change civilization and you demean others who disagree or don't want to embrace your big truth. That is how it comes across and other posters flag it for review."

Blue star one of these posts to the leaderboard and maybe they'll acknowledge it.

Question for staff/mods: How is TexasRebel coming onto the Bitcoin thread and deriding Bitcoin as unicorn farts etc. any different than AE going on to threads regarding Fiat, non-bitcoin etc. and espousing the value of Bitcoin?

Brigading/trolling is brigading / trolling. Transparency/consistency goes a long way for your users.

Let's continue on the Crypto Trading:

I built an indicator based off of MACD and other variables. It created a buy trigger on BTC on February 26th. The price proceeded to go up 20% and now is resting at 7% above the entry price. It seems we have some rejection from the $44,000 price.

The last time we had a similar buy signal on my indicator, BTC rose 128% over a 6 month period with the obvious fluctuations of BTC. If the price does similar, BTC hits 75 K within 6 months.

Of course a rising tide raises all ships, so if BTC goes up, alts will follow. Time will tell....

I bought one bitcoin at $39,100 about ten days ago and sold at $43,000 yesterday morning.

Liking this price but I think I am going to sit out this weekend.

Strike is more akin to Paypal/Cashapp/Venmo based on BTC rather than Coinbase Pro.

Coinbase pro is more akin to a thinkorswim/Fidelity activetrader setup.

I wish I knew half as much as AE. No sock, unfortunately.

I do put my opinions on this thread openly, as stupid as many of my predictions seem to be

I invest in lots of coins AE wouldn't touch.

My biggest flop!? 5k in Sataima went up to 30k. Did I sell!? Hell no! I'm riding it down to $2800

I may at some point tweak my indicator and potentially sell it because it is pretty darn good. I may be able to just share it with you and tell you the settings I'm using. Do you have a tradingview account?

My indicator is based off of differences between rsi and creating a cross off of different settings. I tweaked and tweaked a lot of things. But, I found that my simplest to read was basically a cross of a short-term and a long term. Programed a line to turn green on this cross. It doesn't always play out, but it seems to be pretty darn good. I don't remember all I programed in, because it's been a few months, but I think it could be powerful.

The best thing is, you could use it on the 7 min, 15 min, or 30 min for trading or long term (12 hour, days, etc) for hodl projects. Works well on stocks and crypto. Especially in conjunction with emas.
