That's why defi and staking are part of the fun. Also stablecoins are nice during dips and those usually carry decent returns so at least some of your portfolio can be doing 8-12% APY on your behalf.

But yeah it's more fun when things are mooning

I feel like sometimes I find myself losing faith a bit in BTC. I've listened to and read hours and hours of people talk about how it's going to the moon and all these institutions are getting in and blah blah blah, but in reality it's going down little by little the last month or so when it was "supposed" to shoot way way up. I'm still going to HODL, but I really question it sometimes.

The data is pretty clear that retail isn't buying bitcoin it's institutions.

Flushing out leverage. Look up band of investments method for deriving cap rates. Similar thing here. Removing leverage reduces price. It will then jump and then jump more as leverage returns.

$400 million buy volume isn't that much for btc these days
