Is that good or bad?

You're going to be smart and dollar cost average into bitcoin, and then not stress.

And if you feel obliged to "play the market and make lambos" then do anything else you'd like.

Yes it is.

Bitcoin is anti-fragile and any challenge proves its anti-fragility, thereby any action = #thisisactuallyagoodthingforbitcoin

Government inference.
Good thing.

Everything is a good thing for bitcoin.

Government interfering is unfortunate for United States and its citizens.

There's differences.

If you needed a discussion around securities, PoS is definitely the place that's needs the oversight and guidance imo.

****coins are gonna go bananas pretty soon.

Grab a little bit of Digibyte for when Bitcoin is 1,000,000 and DGB is 1000

Alonso HFC coming soon per CH.
Official dates to be stated within weeks. Appears smart contracts might be up and running as soon as late Aug to early Sept.

Yes yes, he could be lying to scam all of us amd his teams and all associated companies, you never can trust someone playing the long con especially when they have so many fooled.

Keeping my fingers crossed I wasn't suckered.

You are correct...everyone in the know knows that they have a heads down and work approach...I'm eager and excited for them to continue progress on their roadmap...if and when they complete it it should be huge.

Yeah, this Sept will be 4 yrs (2017-2021) so my comment of 6 years was poking fun by splitting the difference.

Porn's accepted btc for awhile now... sex workers take bitcoin,

I've tipped strippers in btc [as early as a decade ago]... Brazilians, and we talked remittances while getting lap danced lol.

Depending on when/how many sats you tipped that may have been a very expensive lap dance

Not really it cost exactly what the net exchange rate of BTC was at that moment

Following with trends if the times, in hindsight this transaction was racist and I'm canceling myself.

Been on clubhouse for about 3/4 weeks now and I haven't been able to stop listening in on what feels like a 24/7/365 crypto radio station with live guests and interesting personalities popping in and out and newbies asking great or stupid or new questions.... anyways I'm having a blast. The best part is the engagement happening on the politics in the US right now. We've got lobbyists, DC lawyers, policymakers, mayor's, among other random people in tons of different industries analyzing the **** out this bill, replaying the language spoken by congress critters on their amendments, discussing strategy in how to talk/tweet/etc their congresspeoples... it's getting organized and seeing the decentralized entity take root and fight together its like watching the ideal of a "UNITED STATES" take form....like a disorganized group of individuals coming together to fight and remove tyranny from their system.

Woo! Bring the heat! Tweet your Congress critters.
The Warren bill is bad for families, bad for poor people, good for Wall Street, too closely written by Wall Street.

What's the fallout of the infrastructure bill that passed over the weekend?

  • I guess it doesn't take effect until 2023, so there's still time to challenge/bring lawsuits, etc.
  • Old bags Warren, Yellin and Biden seem intent to take their place on the wrong side of history. In the case of Yellin, I kind of get it. Her life's work is about to get thrown out the window.
  • Is it a "win" for proof of work (mainly Bitcoin)? Hastily thrown together legislation by politicians who don't know what they're doing can never be considered win per se, but the fallout for the proof of stake segment of the industry seems larger.
  • Then again, I'm not sure if lightning network and other Bitcoin layer 2 tech will be effected. It also seems like the alts running of proof of stake can easily just relocate their networks elsewhere.

Overall, I'm supportive of proper tax disclosure/enforcement on crypto in the exchanges and I'm glad wallets were struck from the legislation (that would have been a total disaster). Like with any legislation, there will likely be unexpected/unintended consequences. And this could just be round one of a long drawn out spar between the US monetary system seeing the writing on the wall and a crypto system that will inevitably overtake it on the global level.

Thus far, the market hasn't really reacted negatively and I'm not sure there's any real reason to given what we know so far. Then again, I'm curious about the thoughts of others on this thread. Thanks in advance.

It's really more of a negative for the US than the crypto industry in my not so educated mind
