If this market manipulation is true, and I have no reason to believe it isn't, shouldn't hardcore Bitcoin fan be very very concerned? Their almighty decentralized currency is so easily manipulated in value, as compared to fiat assets, at the whim of big money. That reality should be very very concerning.

To expand: our government has been spending like drunken sailors and even they have not devalued the US fiat by half in a month.

Many are at how they coordinated this move, especially using insiders like Coin Telegraph, and other crypto media.

Not sure being decentralized has much to do with it as this doesn't involve governance, just good old fashioned greed. People with loads more money to spend and folks with loads more shares owned can always manipulate.
Someone with good money that invested $100k into BTC at $12 has over half a billion today. If they sold at highs and rebought the lows they could easily have turned an original 8,000 BTC into 50,000 BTC today.
A hand full of those types partnering with hedge funds and other institutions (mutually beneficial) can easily panic the market.

If they can control the market with 8,000 imagine what they can do with 50,000.

That's my point. My example is the minimum level it would take to be a mover and we know there are much bigger whales.

I swung it from $140 to $155.. wish I had held it longer. I bought in when it was mega oversold in comparison. I did the same thing with Link from $18 to $25 and wish I had held that one longer too.

A good swing strategy I think is to keep an eye on the most oversold crypto by daily percentage.. Obviously this will not always work because nothing does, but It has worked for me lately on a couple of trades.

This is what I did with ETH yesterday, but there were many moments I almost panic sold

EMAX coin is going bananas right now. Brand new coin that is up 700% with a significant catalyst in the form of the Mayweather fight on June 6th.

As with last week, buy Sunday morning and sell Monday or Tuesday.

I'll be doing so too, holding for Sunday though.

Y'all using limit or stop orders on your trades and if so where - Coinbase Pro? Binance? Other? I've only used market orders so far but some of these weekend swings are tempting...

CB pro has very easy to use limit/stop orders. I use frequently.

I'm holding at least till sept as that's when the long term cap gains kick in - I really don't want to give the feds max short term

However biden and company talking about retroactive bullcrap is disconcerting..

If I remember right the last two Saturday nights did not go so well.

I want to buy ETH at 2250 but I also don't want to wake up and see it at 1700

My guess is prices continue to drop through the weekend and holiday. Im going to try and resist buying until monday morning.

Don't pass up tomorrow mornings prices if you like the number. Trend suggests Sunday morning is the time to go in.
