Agree with others that it's impossible to tell. I do, however, believe that when Cardano's smart contracts receive positive reviews on the test net, ADA will jump appreciably. Then, if smart contracts are successful on the public net, Cardano could quite literally challenge ETH for the #2 spot on crypto market cap. Only time will tell.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, then I would encourage you to sit out of the crypto market and learn more before you jump in. Don't take others' word for it do your own DD.

A lot of people believe crypto is wayyyy overvalued right now. A lot of people believe crypto is entering into a new era and will rip further as our global economy enters into an inflationary period.

There's no damn way to know for sure or else I'd be on an island drinking a pina colada.

  • 2017/18 Cycle - Sell in late December
  • Follow BTC Halving - Don't quote me, but I think we are 4 months ahead of 2017/18, so end in September
  • By recent market action - It's done

build an exit strategy, set your stops and honor them or hold 4 years.

I would include that if smart contracts are implemented onto the main net successfully and on time, the value will jump not only due to functionality, but also project migration from ETH. There are already lots of devs working on their projects on the private Cardano teat net, which is a precursor to the test net, for specific projects.

Additionally, my theory I that once Alonso is fully rolled out it will only take 5 notable projects to migrate to Cardano using the ERC20 converter before 20% of the devs/projects switch ecosystems. It could be a domino effect because if your competitors are performing transactions at a faster rate and at a much lower cost, you probably want to move e as well.

Ether Current Market Cap is 385 Million
Cardano Current Market Cap is 66 Million

What market cap can Cardano reach this cycle?

100 Million - $3
385 million - $11
500 Million - 15
1 Trillion - 30.

I agree that nobody knows. My guess is 3-11 this cycle.

Here's my delimma - got into eth @$350 - but have about 3 months till long term cap gains will kick in. I either sell and pay top income bracket or wait for the 20%.

Uhhh they are already "moving" and in that sense briefly transferred to Polkadot, Binance Smart Chain, and Solana.

There are a couple dozen blockchains currently performing transactions at a faster rate and much lower cost than Eth that are currently operating so this isn't some novel concept.

Uhhh they are already "moving" and in that sense briefly transferred to Polkadot, Binance Smart Chain, and Solana.

There are a couple dozen blockchains currently performing transactions at a faster rate and much lower cost than Eth that are currently operating so this isn't some novel concept.


1. There are millions of devs out there and only a few thousand are on ETH.
2. Those other platforms have issues that will need to be resolved in the near future, ala DOT, while Cardano is being built to avoid issues and if inevitable the fix is easy and quick.
3. Cardano will be a Real-Fi with real world applications across a spectrum of industries, not single faceted; governments, education, finance, healthcare, supply chain, NFTs, etc.
4. Only time will tell but I like Cardano's chances to be successful and be around post 2028.

Is it legitimate to talk about meme coins in this thread? Apologies if not as I haven't read through this one enough but I've had multiple people trying to get me to buy into safemoon in the past month or so.

I'm much more of a gambler than a savvy investor and I think most will agree that any of these coins whether meme or established like BTC, ETH, LITE, etc are all still gambles at this point but this amused me. And then you read about people making a fortune off of Doge and it does make you think for a second.

It's pure speculation and we're pretty sure lots of the profits end up in the CCP coffers. But if you want in, go for it! We're having fun here no?

I think having fun with meme coins can be a good thing, safemoon might not be a meme coin for long, it could be one giant rug pull or they are coming out with a card and wallet, they are working on an exchange and working on Pheonix ( basically what Cardano is doing in Ethiopia they are trying to do in Gambia) it's all speculation but if they deliver it wont be a joke anymore, they do live weekly AMAs ( sundays) if you really want to invest in safemoon I would suggest watching one before investing

This a good approach but depends on how much you have to invest. 10-15 projects would require a good amount imo. If you are investing less than $30k pick 6-8 tokens. Spreading yourself thin is counterproductive to maximizing returns.

Why do people get so triggered by the word tokenomics? DOT, ALGO and EOS have referenced their own " tokenomics " and yes they used that word

Edit to add VET has also

Edit again to add you can find tokenomics referenced in crypto articles atleast back to 2018.
