Unsophisticated cryoto people should start with coinbase, imo and pay the fees for safety/sanity. But I'm old school and biased.

ONE and MATIC are on a tear today. Both have very interesting use cases.

This is what I was looking for. I'm very unsophisticated regarding Crypto trading, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Yes, just use Coinbase. It's easy and you don't have to worry about moving stuff around in a crazy process like some of these others. You will just have fewer alt-coins to choose from.

The Ethereum/Bitcoin chart is damn scary good. Said it before but if you don't own Eth you're going to regret it.
Thanks for this post. It got my attention and I researched it enough to put a good chunk of money on eth. Think this has a long runway.

I must be REALLY unsophisticated, as I can't seem to get coinbase working. They won't accept my bank info since the acct name and my legal name as listed in the coinbase acct "don't match"- I think because my printed checks use a middle initial instead of the name spelled out (?). Also, their info reads that there is a $10 bank wire fee for each time. How do you guys make purchases without incurring this fee? Thanks for any advice.

But I want to buy VET and the trading around has me confused. Can you provide a step by step for us?

VET is not tradable on Coinbase. When you are logged into Coinbase, go to the Prices button on the left hand side of your screen. Once there select the drop down on the upper right that is probably defaulted to "All Assets". Change that to "Tradable Assets" and it will show you which coins you can trade on Coinbase.

To my point earlier, Coinbase is easier to use but you won't have as many alt-coin options as some of the more sophisticated platforms.

Don't use the Wire method. Go to Settings>Payment Methods>Add a Payment Method>Bank Account.

You will then enter your Routing Number and your Account Number (use your bank check). That will link your checking account to your Coinbase wallet. Same concept with any other financial trading platform like Fidelity, ETrade, etc.

When you go to trade, you can then buy crypto immediately from there forward with any crypto that Coinbase trades which won't be as many as other platforms.

ETH is that one where I hate seeing my balance increase because I have less time to add to my position. Chart looks amazing though.

Have an acquaintance that is the same. He put about $75,000 into it when it was $.50/coin and is convinced he's going to own an island one day. I think he's an idiot.

If he would have bought VET instead at that time, he could own an island now. You should totally rib him on it

Anxiously awaiting the launch of the Smartlands platform (SLT) in the next few days

this thing could blow up tremendously in the next week (even though it already blew up significantly a few weeks back). Very low supply. Staking rewards tied to 1000 euros. Tokenization of real estate has massive potential imo.

Easiest way to get in is buying XLM, putting it in the LOBSTR app/wallet, and swapping it for SLT. Or you can use the SDEX. No fees either way. I've got the requisite staking amount invested just for giggles. But with the price action this could see, one day you might see the required staking amount be a fractional SLT.

Easy to see the potential for growth potential, not even including profits from staking

Does anyone here use Bittrex? I have all of my Cardano on Bittrex due to a buddy's recommendation, but I can't stake it. What is the best method to go about staking it from Bittrex?

I've been looking around for a promising tech in this space so consider me intrigued. I also already have a few thousand XLM. Does LOBSTR facilitate staking? If not, how do you go about it?

That looks like a one-note wallet for XLM only. I'd look at what you want to stake in, and see what wallets they support. Working backwards seems to be the most useful way but in the end you'll end up in 10 different exchanges and wallets.

No, staking is unavailable atm. It should go live when the platform is launched. TBD if you can stake directly from LOBSTR or you will need to move your SLT onto the platform to do so. Probably the latter, but LOBSTR is simply the easiest way to acquire it at the moment.

From their last AMA, they are also in negotiations to be listed on a T1 exchange in connection to the launch of their platform. So it's possible that staking will be available on said exchange.
