Pure speculation on my part but I think $47-48k is the floor before options expire. Just a wild ass guess

Same here... there's support down around $47-48k. A wick down to that level wouldn't be surprising.

Taking off towards $52k now. I knew it.

Has anyone staked their Harmony One? I've moved the tokens to the Harmony One Wallet on mainnet and am interested in staking with a validator, but I'm not sure how to pick one? Low fees, high uptime, high expected return... what am I missing?

I stake it through Binance. Are you getting higher than 17% through the pool?

Thanks, I'll check them out. Is there any chance of losing what you stake? I'm not 100% clear on what downside exists.

The rates vary depending on which validator you stake with. I pulled mine out of binance - I didn't want to VPN anymore and was afraid I could end up losing my tokens by breaking their TOS since they aren't licensed to operate in Texas..

I'm staking with RockTheBlockchain right now. Downside is that the validator won't be picked, or you need to sell quick but are locked in

If I could get mine off crypto.com id probably go with RockTheBlockChain. I can't get KuCoin to work to get it over there and to a wallet

yeah crypto.com won't let you yet. I lucked in that I was using binance.us (I don't live in TX).

Came across this on Reddit. It seems most other coins go up when BTC does. What low cost coins are y'all looking to buy?

Storj got put onto coinbase and it looks like a less-cpu (and therefore hopefully less-power) intensive coin to host your own node. I have a spare 2TB HDD so i'm going to see if running a node on my PC makes sense.

That might be a nice way to supplement trading gains.

Meanwhile Filecoin has been humming. 4x since Jan.

You should still buy bitcoin. It doesn't matter what fraction of a bitcoin you buy. Your money should still grow.

This is generally the right answer. I've recently made a decision to consolidate into BTC and no more than 10 coins with promising use cases that I can also stake.

I still hold LINK(can't stake) and will likely sell that once it gets back above 30 since it no longer fits my strategy.

STORJ! I missed that.

Was at the Hackathon that created Storj... good times.

Why I love nano:

Quote:

On March 10th 2021, Bitcoin completed 287 thousand transactions, with an average effective finality time of 42 minutes and $5 million spent in bitcoin fees on that day alone.

On March 10th 2021, Ethereum completed 1.3 million transactions, with an average effective finality time of 4 minutes and $20 million spent in Ethereum fees on that day alone.

On March 10th 2021, Litecoin completed 110 thousand transactions, with an average effective finality time of 29 minutes and just $3,750 spent on Litecoin fees on that day.

On March 10th 2021, Nano completed 2 million transactions, with an average effective finality time of 0.26 seconds and ZERO spent on fees on that day.
Quote:

The Nano mainnet was spammed due to its feeless nature, for a week at the start of March. More transactions were completed on the Nano network over than week than bitcoin has seen over the entire year of 2021. Total fees? Zero. Average finality time? A fraction of a second.
I don't think bitcoin will be replaced as a "store of value". First mover advantage is too great. But if you believe in crypto as "digital currency", then nano is easily my pick.

Newbie with a longer term question. I was reading that there were a lot of altcoins coming out and available. Usually it's a bad thing when something gets popular and a lot of options flood the market. It was bad for comic books, bad for baseball cards, and to a degree it's bad for real money now with the fed printing money. Is this different?
Or is it the point? To get in early and bet on coins you think will have longevity and sell the ones you think will be worthless in 5-10 years to dummies like me?

Assuming you already buy into the concept that decentralized financial networks are good and should be the future... most folks a look at alts similarly to betting on which small or micro cap is going to be the next Amazon, Google, visa, etc.

NFTs are the only product I might say is somewhat similar to your baseball card/comic book example.

I've been sprinkling money into BTC as well as cheap low cap coins. I'm just playing with it right now. Remember, don't invest money that you can't afford to lose, especially on something new that you don't know
A lot about (not saying that you are uneducated on crypto, just speaking in general)

Yep and even then if you buy the right ones - you're sitting on gold. You've got to really study the use cases of the alt-coins and understand what their purpose will eventually be and how it fits into the future of DeFi

I personally believe ADA will grow significantly this year.

I bought ANKR at .01 so I'm thrilled it's taking off. People seem to think it can hit $1.

Anyone on here $AMP? Solid team with the background to make big moves. Their SDK should come out this summer. Obviously a Coinbase listing would help. They are already in Coinbase Custody.

Just noticed that the GSA Auctions Website is auctioning off some Bitcoin starting tomorrow Mar 29 and ending Mar 31. There are 6.7 Bitcoin up for auction. Website is gsaauctions.gov.

GSA Auctions is a website that auctions off items confiscated or deemed obsolete by some US Government agencies. Seems odd that they would be auctioning off Bitcoin. Apparently they've done this once before but I never seen it.

An article at U.S. government agency plans its second bitcoin auction this month (theblockcrypto.com) says that the US Govt declined to disclose how it obtained this bitcoin, citing privacy concerns.

By the time the auction ends, I doubt there would be any bargains, but I find this interesting.

Thought this might be of some interest to you guys as well.
