Thanks for the link. Seems the hacks have involved more obscure exchanges with decreased safety protocols; only one I recognized was binance and it appears they've set up a 'safe fund' in a way to provide further financial backup for investors. The warning is duly noted though.

My gut tells me we'll see a morning sell off when people wake up.

Sorry, buddy! Morning commute. We have a buy signal out to the 2 hour mark. What that means is you can expect a run up for a while. How high and how long? Well, that's where market cipher is a little lacking and where I need to learn how to read it.

If you don't mind holding until the weekend, buy it. We'll be back to $57 before long.

This is entirely speculation and I'm not an expert on crypto, or trading/investing for that matter, but when I look at the market cap this coin has and the technology behind it, I just can't help but like it. Chainlink security is the next big thing in fintech. I'm not expecting it to hit ETH levels (god I would love to have to pay that tax bill if it does) but I'm anticipating low three figures. This is a buy and hold coin for me personally.

Of course, we are all speculators. I know the potential is big for LINK. My play around in crypto money isn't huge, so had a hard time pulling the trigger above $30 , butI did get a small piece below $30 today actually.

Even in the short term, most all of the minor cryptos that anyone's heard of will do great. Follow Bitcoin and buy something you like while bitcoin is rising. Your smaller alt coins will grow and fall along with bitcoin. If you buy at bitcoin's low things like (NU, Link, ADA, Rep, Algo, Atom, etc.) and btc rises, these others will rise large percentages.

Me personally, for now I have no "buy and hold strategy" on anything but BTC and Eth. I do trade into and out of all of the others.

I looked back at last Sunday's BTC dip and saw all of the other crypt follow btc to the T. So I looked at which ones gained the largest percentage and I bought those on the dip. I bought $300 into ATOM, and $300 into GRT because both of those grew over 20% with BTC's rise on Monday the 15th. I also bought $300 more of BTC.

The problem I learned was that I've been following Market Cipher's (MC) time frames of 30 min, 45 min, and 60 minutes. It's pretty darn accurate on those, but the 1HR, 2 HR, and 4HR is where it's really at.

I get being cautious, and cold storage is better than getting robbed, but that would be bad for everyone.

I am investing with a different frame of mind - not a day trade but an investment, well bet, on millennial and gen z moving towards crypto to hedge against inflation, broadly speaking. I am in so long as there are simple apps / means for investing. If the feds go after it, i will cash out. I don't think the fed can pull together a digital currency plan in less than four - five years. Government is too old and too stubborn to be able to roll this out effectively.
Granted i have and will continue from time to time arbitrage the weekend dips. But not like day trading.

I'm not a heavy buyer, but I've bought some btc on the cash app. I like that it shows your total investment in usd and sats at time of purchase. Fee seems reasonable, but I don't have a frame of reference for it.

The main thing I like about it is it's instantly depositable and can send it to any Bitcoin user peer to peer which I've noticed is not an option for all wallets/brokers.

I know very little about cash app. I'd use coinbase or coinbase pro.

Digibyte is the only I get. Smart contracts, smart contracts, smart contracts. Bitcoin is a great store of wealth, like gold. Digibyte is the very means of blockchain efficiency and transfer. Both are necessary and Digibyte will never be as valuable, but Digibyte is the true backbone of the future of money transfer.
