WELLUSD - Notes on the chart. Certainly has the ability to turn bullish. Wave count is merely a blueprint, not a prediction. Below the yellow line and pressure remains down to either a new low or more consolidation. Lots of potential based on current structure and more clarity needed. I'm currently in using the recent low as stop.

FETUSD - bullish is there if it wants it. Using the red line as stop.

I want to reiterate that the only strategy I've advocated for is Dollar cost averaging daily/weekly/monthly an appropriate amount of money relative to your income level.

This is what $30/day over 8 years looks like:

Checking my comprehension:

So you are selling at around $1.20 on the low end. Where would you get out on the high end?

Low end - yes.. but might force it to sustain a break of the red. It's an abritary trendline and not 100% reliable. On the high end, it will depend on how the structure upward develops. As of now, I probably would take 75% of exposure off in the mid $4's and wait for a corrective retrace that holds a higher low to jump back in for a potential last push up to the target identified on the chart.

Are there any strong advantages either way in holding BTC directly versus IBIT?

How much do you trust your government or third party counter risk? Do you trust yourself to secure your seed phrase? Would you like to be your own bank outside the system? Do you ever foresee yourself needing to move money outside the system? Do you have a plan for when it all melts down?

thoughts on the security parameters at Coinbase?

trying to figure out if I have a better chance having my BTC stolen from Coinbase...

or me losing the ability to access it in my own cold wallet.

I'd rather bang my head against the wall than try and get support from Coinbase. Most major ETFs use Coinbase for custody, so they must be doing something right. Personally after listening to the founder of Kraken say that if they are compelled by the government to give them access, then they have no choice but to comply, he followed that up with the advice of get your coins off exchanges.

Self custody is the way to go if at all possible. Some investment vehicles don't allow for that and I get that. But even IRAs with somewhere like Unchained you can do multisig self custody. They help walk you through it and remind you regularly to test your devices. There's a solution out there that fits your needs and concerns, whatever they are.

If you have other questions feel free to reach out to me directly.

Significantly up now. Stop raised. Needs to hold red line for the most impulsive path. Otherwise, it becomes less predictable at best and can turn bearish at worst.

I have gotten to enough holdings in BTC where I am considering a cold wallet. Currently holding through Robinhood. Is there a good thread talking +/- on cold wallet or other storage options and how to approach it properly?

I see random advice scattered through this thread but nothing consolidated.

Go buy a Trezor or Ledger and one of the stainless metal devices to mechanically backup your seed phrase. I personally use a Ledger Nano S and Billfodl. Buy directly from the manufacturer website, not on Amazon. Not sure what else there is to discuss when you first transition over to cold storage.

I'll add:

Pay the fees and practice transferring small amounts until you are confident in what you are doing.

With a small amount in your cold wallet, wipe the device and restore it with your seed phrase to make sure you understand what you are doing.

Thanks guys. I like this advice. Elder millenial/Gen X and the tech side of transferring that kind of $$ scares me a bit.

Another Ledger user, but do not use their Ledger Recovery service. It pretty much defeats the entire purpose in my opinion as they've admitted by definition they can access your keys...

ILVUSD - This is not a contender for position entry, yet. Would like to see the general structure complete to the upside with a clear corrective retrace back down as shown. THEN, it's a buy and will have a very manageable stop and significant reward potential.
