maybe I can finally get outta my MRNA dumpster fire after they've released the new Chinese bioweapon 2.0
I think that the top for the year for SPY is in. I don't think that gold is done running though.Heineken-Ashi said:
While there is still some supports in this market, I've been warning that the upside I've been looking for is the "LAST" move in AT LEAST a 6-7 month pattern, if not the last move of much longer timeframe patterns. I've also tried to make it very clear that while I'm leaning towards one more high, it absolutely DOES NOT have to happen. Enough is in place for a major major top to have been struck. We are also on the exact day that led to the COVID crash.. a crash that followed a bull run that started on Aug 5th, 2019, same exact day this bull run started in 2024. That could be merely coincidental. But given how extended this market is, I would be very careful with longs over the weekend. A significant gap down on some sort of global news could open well below your stop.
I will repeat. I am not calling a top as in. I'm saying to be VERY careful with your long exposure and understand the risks.

Random Individual Stock Investment Question (not ETF):
What's the most you'd feel comfortable (portfolio-wise) investing in a single company? 2%? 5%? 25%? More?
I've gone as high as ~30% and of course it's a case by case situation, but is that too risky for some of you? In my defense it's worked out for me so far because it was in pretty strong companies that I planned on holding (ASO and ET in the past and currently my POWL position is getting pretty high).
this is why I have been adding to Merck, Pfizer, Viking, Moderna and pharma ETF the last six months!GreasenUSA said:It appears that Communist China is about to release another even more deadly coronavirus bioweapon on the world, newly "discovered" (synthesized) by the Bat Woman Zhengli Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.https://t.co/EFmKoEEH3Q

I originally thought it was developed to kill off ALL the worlds older population... and the most unhealthy among us. I'd be surprised if it was just about killing off the older Chinese population.Chef Elko said:

Thoughts on GOF?
Net ~12% dividend investing in risky bonds. They pay monthly - .18/share.
My risk is the price dropping as it's trading at a 35% premium currently, but that's because they've been so consistent with the dividend.
I have asked a couple of times and have been disappointed I havent seen a response.. I did not see HA's response the last time, my apologies. I try to pay close attention to all the posts, but it's tough sometimes.Marauder Blue 6 said:https://texags.com/search?q=GOF&fid=57Woods Ag said:

I think it'll be painful for little awhile. Pretty sad fact that the crazy government spending has made up the lion's share of GDP over the last 4 years. Otherwise, GDP probably would have been negative.harge57 said:He may be good for business, but he is not good for inflation which is where ~50% of equity gains have come from the last few years.infinity ag said:

It will be interesting if the reduction in regulations can spur enough growth to offset the reduction in government spending and jobs in the economy.
That's the harsh reality. We shall see...harge57 said:He may be good for business, but he is not good for inflation which is where ~50% of equity gains have come from the last few years.infinity ag said:

It would be a harsh solution to a real problem that doesn't have a nice solution. one that I don't put past governments and world leaders to make. makes the hairs on my neck stand up thinking of such an evil solution.RenoAg said:Chef Elko said:

What if our own government is partners in this to solve our social security and medicare funding problem? Hmmmmm…
Yes - I just bought some a few months ago, but am happy with it so far. It's a long-term hold, for me (until it isn't, anymore).RightWingConspirator said:
Any other holders of MELI? It's the only bright spot in my portfolio but it's been a fantastic company to hold. I've held it now for almost four years.
