what's this about? I sold my shares of EXPH and ASFX after making profits... it says I have X amount of cash but says I have nothing available to withdraw...

It usually takes about 3 days for it to show up for withdrawal. Once you decide to move it, expect another 2-3 days for the money to show up in your bank account.
Etrade takes 5 days to release funds for withdraw after sale.
They are just slow.
Tell me about it. Oh well I'm still waiting for the app to process with Zecco anyway
It takes 3 days before you can withdraw the cash after selling a stock because you have to let the transaction clear (SEC regulations). Moving to Zecco will not change the situation.

He asked about Etrade, not about SEC regulations. So yes, the question was answered: while the SEC requires 3 days, Etrade adds an extra 2 bringing the grand total to 5.
