Douglas county announced no masks a few weeks ago, they better not change it.

St. Vrain announced a bit ago that there would be no mask mandate. Hopefully they don't back track on that either.

Getting a little concerned masks might be required for our game

Just an email we got. Sounds like 12 and over if vaxxed are optional though. I know my second grader will be bummed if they do the cohort thing and aren't allowed to mix at recess.

What's the best small town to window shop and do some easy hiking around Denver? Willing to travel an hour or so in any direction.

Idaho springs is cool You can hike st. mary's glacier or drive up to mt evans in the early am then hit up the town. (in other words don't drive up to mount evans outside of morning hours)

Estes park as well, fun town and tons of hiking nearby. I'd suggest gem lake.

Castle Rock has blown up recently with tons of restaurants and shopping. Just a few minute drive over to castle wood canyon, you can hike down to the failed dam remains along cherry creek, a really cool hike in a canyon.

Maybe I'm biased since I live in Parker, but while there isn't a ton of shopping, we have a little historic downtown with ~7-8 local restaurants, a chocolate shop, bakery, coffee shop, and 4 breweries within a mile or 2. You can hit up bluffs regional trail on your way in or out (short hike with 360 view of the front range)

I'm going to try Idaho Springs today. I just hope that the I-70 closures don't F up my plans.

Take 6 to Idaho Springs (well almost to Idaho Springs). Such a gorgeous drive.

Colorado is so badass. Today I went down to the Garden of the Gods and explored a rough gravel road into the mountains. Much needed nature and 4x4 therapy. I'm normally driving around the Denver area between 2 jobs.

my neighbor (in Parker) is on the commercial side; she works for Lockheed.

But she just started a 3 month maternity leave!

I've never asked her if she does side residential work.

If you happen to see her and could ask that or if she has a rec for residential, I'd appreciate it.

I hiked Green Mountain today. I was greeted by a rattlesnake no more than 10 minutes into the walk. Otherwise, amazing views!!

Last night for us down in Parker.. wife got the pants/hoodie out and it was only 7pm!

Pretty wild seeing snow on the peaks this morning. Also nice that it cleared a lot of the smoke out.

I didn't have anything to do so I drove up and down 285S into the mountains. I drove through Tiny Town because the name made me smile. Who knew there was an actual tiny town attraction area! Cute. Not worth spending money though!

This altitude is no joke though.

First Rockies game tonight. Rain cooled it down but didn't stick around. Made it on the big screen with my oldest daughter. Stayed til the end and watched them walk it off. Nice night with the family.

oh hell we were at Rockies game too! Wife and two boys 5 and 6. We were up in L303 by the rooftop.

I'm so mad we left in the middle of 8th, right before all the awesome action happened.

Nice. Took my girls, 7 and 3. Went with our VP of Sales and his wife along with their 4 year old girl. That probably helped us stay, having someone to keep the little one busy. Don't know that we would've been able to make it thru extras so nice that Diaz could oblige and end it. We were in 219. Then we made it to the garage we parked in only to find out it was locked down and some folks were stuck in the elevator. Fire truck showed up to get them out and so we could go get our car. Late night.

Guess it was Aggie night, I was at the game as well. What an electric ending!

What's the plan for Denver Aggie watch parties? Still going with Sloans Burger or whatever? I'd like to find a better spot but I'm not sure how to get in touch with whoever organizes it. I'd be up for researching and finding a bar or pub that's available.

If we can't find something I'll probably do Blake Street Tavern. It's a fun place and they have a variety of watch parties for different colleges.
