Boulder proper would be well above your budget. If you're talking about Boulder Valley School District, yes there are some very good schools. Major Crime is extremely low. There are pockets of increased petty crime but still seems a lot lower than where we came from in Texas. I really think you'd like Longmont.

We're gonna go check out a couple areas in march and longmont is on the list.

Got 11 inches of snow last night measured via my backyard. University Hills area. What did y'all get?

9" in Golden... backyard measure.
13" measured in my backyard in Highlands Ranch
Maybe 6" in parker.
We got about an inch in Greeley the other night. All melted by noon. Golf on the menu all week after today.
We got close to 8-9" in Erie but the roads were dry by the afternoon. Most has already melted away, it's wild.
Yeh only snow in the shade is left here. Colorado sun is amazing.

Seems 800+ students aren't happy that Boulder is still in code yellow while many other surrounding areas are blue. You picked your liberal school and city. Choices have consequences. If you vote for a nanny state, prepare to have your freedoms removed for the "good of society".
On the plus side, many people in CO are starting to speak out as well.

Yep and a lot of our neighbors were more upset they were gathering without masks and setting a Covid breakout than the damage that was caused. Unreal.

You don't really NEED a snow blower in Colorado, especially a 2 stage, unless you live in the mountains. We bought a snow blower just because they're so damn FUN. I love running ours and taking care of the neighbors who hate shoveling.
This snow forecast will put ours to the test though. I'lll need to make sure Im out first thing Saturday morning, then out Saturday afternoon, and again Sunday morning it looks like. This seems to be a storm where a 2 stage would be nice to have, but we didn't see the need to spend that money and take up that kind of footprint in the garage.

I've got a 30' x ~'40' long driveway.. so every 1" is almost 4cy of snow. Anything over about 3" I get out the snowblower for sure. It gets used 4-6 times a year at my house. The kids have their shovels to do the edges, walks and cleanup.
I got a smoking deal on my blower on nextdoor or varage sale. 1 year old, got it about half price. Electric start is all I wanted and it had it. I built a shed 5 years ago, so it's stored in there except for days leading up to a storm.
Whoever asked above, yes our spring break is next week. Good timing, my kindergartner just had a positive in his class so he's quarantined for 10 days, so we only had to worry about these 3 (my wife is in DougCo schools)

Predicting 30" for Boulder and the foothills and 1-2ft in Colorado Springs. Winter Park is supposed to get up to 4ft, which is great if the pass is open. Will probably just be locals in Grand county getting to enjoy that.
I'm supposed to go to Vail on Sunday, but I'll be surprised if the roads are open. And if they are, Sunday night on the way back will be hell.
As an aside, I checked out Colorado Springs last weekend and visited Cowboy's Dancehall. Highly recommend it. They are limiting capacity but still still a solid crowd, and no mask required! I'll be back tomorrow evening with some friends if the weather permits.
I'd like to check out downtown CS a bit more once I get a chance. Seems like a great town.
