I will be moving to the Denver area soon. I will be driving around the area and beyond. I have an F250 4 wheel drive with All-Terrain Tires currently. Do y'all suggest getting snow tires or are they not necessary?

4WD should be sufficient, just realize that it's 4 wheel drive and not 4 wheel braking.

Just don't be the one holding up traffic. People in Denver seem to think that if it is below freezing outside, it must mean the roads are icy, even when there is no precipitation. I have a 4WD Yukon and I don't have any issues really. Just remember, you don't lose control when driving straight. You lose control when you take a turn too fast and slide out or when you have to break too hard. You should be fine though.

It's good to have a little weight in the back-end of your truck on icy days. I always try to keep my fuel tank full and maybe throw in some sandbags.

That was a good snow, had about 14 in on the west side of Littleton near c470. Wore me out shoveling it on my lunch break, really made me wish I got that snow blower I wanted at Christmas.

Shoveling starts in 30 minutes at our house. No school = extra help.

You can file for free on the state website. It just asks you to input a few lines from your 1040.

Unless you have some weird situations, I'd use turbo tax. It's easy to do federal and then state off of it

FYI, Turbo tax state return is like $40. It's free on state website. It took me all of 5 minutes.

ok, so this might be a dumb post to bump this thread on, but do any of you know of a store that has good potato salad? We have some family coming up for my daughters b-day (we are going skiing) and one of the things we want to have is potato salad, and I'd like to avoid making it. We like McAlisters style but that's on the other side of town. We are on the west side of town.

In case you already haven't noticed, Amazon is now collecting sales tax in Colorado. Not sure what prompted the decision, but I do know my company is currently building a 400K sqft warehouse for a certain online retail giant I won't name here, slated to open later this year, as well as bidding on a second 850K sqft warehouse and office for the same client, slated to open in late 2017.

I've used Eric Kulbe with Guild Mortgage on two home purchases. He's not an Aggie, but he's still a good guy, great at what he does, and has a solid team.

Not an Ag, but a coworker of mine for several years here in Denver before the oil bust.. he switched to lending after layoffs. I am in the middle of a refinance right now with him. (Saving $150 a month, only $800 to close, and get to skip a payment)
Very easy process, all signatures were done electronically on-line except for 1 page which required a wet sign. We're closing tomorrow, and started the process last week of Feb. so pretty quick. Rates are great right now, got 3.625 on a conventional, and didn't need an appraisal (it was waived due to such increase in value in recent years)
