Looking to take a family trip around thanksgiving time - prob Mexico? Doesn't have to be Mexico - just seems to be the easiest from Houston….

What resorts would one recommend that should be looked at that are kid friendly, nice and hopefully good value?

Otherwise you'll have to worry about sargasso even in November/December.

A lot will depend on your budget. Finest Playa Mujeres is a great resort, but if you have teens or tweens, I think they may get bored there pretty quickly. Mexico is one of my specialties, and I tour a lot of resorts. If you're not already working with a travel advisor, my contact information is in my bio. Keep in mind that airfare will be higher over Thanksgiving break, too.

Alaia in San Pedro Belize is worth checking out.
