Family and I are staying at an Airbnb in Wimberley for 3 days next week and looking for some recs on good food/drink spots. 5 adults and 2 kids (3yr and 5yr olds). We're meeting up at Creekhouse Kitchen & Bar while we wait for our Airbnb to be ready, no other places scoped out as of now.

Any other must-try restaurants/bars or outdoor spots in Wimberley?

Creekhouse is great, would also reco Hays City Store, the Let Go Bar, Community Pizza, and Roughhouse Brewing. Salt Lick is 20 mins away as well. Hays City Store & Community Pizza have the tree net playgrounds that our kids loved.

The Leaning Pear has a playground. The Shady Llama does too.

We ate at Wimberly Cafe last year.

If you're looking for an old-school, small-town kinda place, that fits the bill.

The Shady Llama is owned by sips so may not recommend it for the game Saturday.

Really enjoyed Community Pizza last time we were there. Great spot for kids as well. Awesome play area outside.

I have to say that I was underwhelmed by the food at Hays City Store. We ate indoors because it was too f-ing hot to be outside, but the food was kind of meh. Maybe I had the wrong thing (Green Chile Philly), but it was not very good.

Make sure to play a round or two of mini golf at Wimberley National Mini Golf. It opened earlier this year and my kids and I love it. 18 Texas and hill country themed holes. Beer, wine, ice cream, etc. Mini Golf

It's a great course. Very family friendly, affordable, well designed holes with great statues including the Capitol, Come and Take it Cannon, a huge Alamo, rattlesnake, Willie's Guitar, etc.

I thought the taco shop next to the Goodwill store was good. Got some nice track spikes at the Thrift store, and a Kendra Scott necklace for my wife. The outdoor pizza place with the brew pub was okay. Town was mostly just overpriced boutiques with Austinite millennials trying to find new ways to spend their money.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough
