Wanting to do our two family trip to the Bahamas this Christmas break and would love some direction.

We 9 in our traveling party. We typically get by with 3 bedrooms with two queen in each. We've done Costa Rica and Dominican Republic. Everyone expect one is over 18.

1) We love all-inclusives but don't need them - One big or two small AirBnB's are good
2) Primary goal is to relax and enjoy the view
3) We're open to fishing, snorkeling, sunset cruise
4) We're open to sight seeing and historical tours
5) We all grew up Baptist so good food will be consumed
6) We go to non-denom churches now so adult beverages will be consumed as well

I know flights will be close to $1k per person and we'd like to keep the housing under $10k. 5-6 nights.

Thank you in advance.

There are only 4-5 all-inclusives in Bahamas. Besides Sandals, the others have crap reviews. They are all "adult-only", but I think 1 or 2 of them allows 16 and up. I can't speak to houses/airbnbs.

If you stay at the Comfort Suites, you get access to the Atlantis resort facilities.

I would expect flights to be more than $1k unless you have already looked and found them.

Not sure if you're looking to escape the crowds in Nassau - but if you are, I highly suggest doing some research on the Exumas and Eleuthera.

+1 on Eleuthera. Really chill and native-born Eleutherans were probably the most friendly of all the islands we've been to.

Check this out in The Exuma's

Restaurant that is nice nearby is The Rusty Anchor at February Point

Regular restaurants nearby are Santana's and Tropic Breze

Also - look up Out Island Explorers - Christian family that is from Auburn University and now lives there and sets up excursions and they planted a church - great people to meet.

Depends on your vibe... Nassau will be crazy busy.

Our last group trip earlier this year we stayed here (not much to do).

They also have a second house next door.

I ran the numbers after the trip and it would have almost been the same price for us to stay at Sandal's. Granted we were in off-peak periods.
