Howdy, looking for some feedback on either or both of these airlines.

Mrs. 82 Ag and I will be travelling to Vietnam next summer, and my award miles options seem to be these two airlines.

I have never flown either of them. Any comments on their Business Class cabin, seats and service will be much appreciated.

Thank you!

I can't speak for business class personally, as I have only flown both in economy. I would give the edge to EVA in terms of service and in-flight entertainment. Comfort in economy is a wash.

I do keep up with some of the travel blogs about airline business class reviews and can tell you that the consensus is that EVA is in the "great-to-excellent" range and Asiana is in the "good-to-great" range. Most reviews I've read point to giving EVA the edge.

Wife and I flew EVA to Bali in first class 10 years ago and it was really nice.

I've flown Asiana Business - very nice. Also, I'm assuming you'll be flying into Incheon which is one of the nicest airports in the world. With EVA you'll be flying into Taiwan which isn't anything special, IMO.

It's a wash. Pick the one with the best schedule/layover.

This. Planes were great but our layover in Taiwan was about five hours and the EVA lounge was nothing special.

I haven't flown EVA but I have flown Economy on China Airlines through Taipei. Definitely check the layover times.

I flew Business Class on Asiana two years ago between Seoul and Sydney. I can't remember offhand if it was an A330 or a 777. Any way, Asiana was very nice. Not quite as nice as Etihad or Emirates but every bit as nice as Singapore or Qantas or the Japanese carriers ANA or JAL. As mentioned, the airport in Seoul is fantastic. Also check the layover times.

EVA. I was treated like a freaking princess!!!!! I really didn't want to get off the plane. Food and drink were excellent and so was the service!!!! Can't wait to fly them again.

The service was so good that I didn't open the bathroom door once on the entire 15 hour flight. Pajamas were also very comfortable,

EVA's better in-flight, Asiana is better for the layover and still really nice in-flight

EVA biz is better than most first class tickets. It's my favorite. Great soft side.

Asiana is good too.
