Any recs for resorts in Aruba? I like the private island associated with the Renaissance. From the trip advisor pictures, it looks like the beaches can get crowded and the private island sounds like a great amenity. Thanks.

do not do the Renaissance. Terrible location downtown and not on a real beach. I have to think the airplanes land right over the top of the hotel, as well.

If you are a Marriott loyalist, they have several properties on Palm Beach, which is ideally where you want to stay. We have staryed at Marriott Aruba Ocean club twice. Very nice beach and plenty of amenities.

You won't like The Renaissance. Like mentioned it's not really on the beach. It's located downtown.

I also would stay away from all the big Palm Beach resorts and stay on Eagle Beach. It's much nicer and way less crowded.

This one is on Eagle Beach: IT's nice and you will love the beach there more. If you want to spend the day at Palm Beach it's only a ten dollar cab ride or you can even walk it.

Bucuti. Eagle beach is much better than Palm beach

We're going in May to Costa Linda. Parents have gone yearly since the 90s.
