We are supposed to fly on Southwest tomorrow and the wife has pink eye. Her doctor won't give her any medication because she is pregnant. Does anybody know if they will let her on the plane?

Just play it up like it's allergies, if anyone asks. I don't think they can prevent you from flying, but it is highly contagious so who knows. I've seen worse getting on my plane which is why I always take airborne prior to flights.

There is no medication for pink eye - it's a viral infection. That being said, if it was a family doctor who diagnosed it, he's probably wrong anyhow. Pink eye is contagious, but it still requires direct contact to spread it. Tell your wife to wash her hands frequently and enjoy your trip.

Doctors see more than enough pink eye to diagnose it correctly. Pink Eye can be viral or bacterial. The viral version usually calls for no medicine, but the bacterial version calls for antibiotics so it will go away in 2-3 days, not weeks.
