Happy Opening Day!

I'm really excited for the team we are putting on the field this year. There just seems to be a different vibe surrounding the players. If this team can stay healthy, we can be dangerous and should be talking about the postseason come September.

What's everyone's predictions this year? I'll start with 90-72

I'll go with 88. If we can keep the rotation healthy (or relatively healthy), we can get to 88 or higher this year.

I am torn on how I think this team will do...

On one hand the pitching was really dang good last year. Can they keep it up? I want to say they'll take a step back.

Bats? They were awful. Will the approach improve? How long is Joc's leash because we all know he is not going to magically get it back. Can Corey, Wyatt, and Carter stay healthy? We know Jung will get hurt but, can he cut down on his chase? Will Josh Smith start off hot then lose steam? Can Burger get close to 30 homers and cut down on the k rate? Will we get ANYTHING from the catching position? So many questions.

I say they win 84 games and miss postseason by 2-3 games.

88-74; feels like with the pitching plus some of the additions to the lineup they'll be a better team. They were right there last year for a WC spot before the late season tail spin dropped them out and I think this team is more robust than last year's. I also got the sense in watching spring training that they were a looser, more confident bunch. Nimmo seemed to be integral in that, which I thought was encouraging.

Can't wait for the saga that is a baseball season!

Sad to say goodbye to so many that helped 2023 be legendary, but I think most, if not all, of the moves we made this offseason were solid.

I've seen some pretty concerning mechanical stuff with Skenes so far this year. He's throwing across his body way more than he did last year and not getting quite the extension.

We get to see Adolis right away. Hopefully he'll still wildly swing at pitches a foot over his head and look very confused about the whole thing.
